Starbucks 401 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67202

"The downtown Wichita Starbucks, at Douglas and Topeka. I’m normally a fan of most locations of this famous coffee chain, but this spot completely struck out with me and appears to be the worst in Wichita. Service was was horrible with the barista being as unfriendly and zoned out of her job as humanly possible. Then the back dining area behind the counter was taken over by non customers with bags and spread out belongings including one person who was completely laid down and passed out. There was also the issue of no accessible bathroom yet only an option to go into the connected hotel, which was disappointingly closed at the time. Fortunately, the drinks were made by someone other than the terrible server, and they turned out fantastic. The interior and patio looked pretty nice too, but there was just too many negatives to overcome here to enjoy much of anything. I can’t recommend this Starbucks unless there’s no other option close enough to have a better experience."

"The girl that has served me twice (2 weeks apart) has been unfriendly to downright rude. One time, no one behind me and I was asking about refills. She was not doing anything at the time. She was short and rude in her response. I’m like, ok, whatever, I’ll get my coffee and study. Next time I come in, no hi, no greeting, nothing. Ok, whatever, I just order and go to my table. It is just different that the other Starbucks I am used to. They are happy to answer questions, friendly, etc. Long story short, even on my other experiences, most of them are not friendly here. Additionally, lots of crazy homeless outside or coming into use the bathroom or sleep on table/booth. One guy kept asking me something I could not understand. Be careful when you use bathroom, watch for sharps around stall or “stuff” on toilet seat. That is downtown I guess, just a note."

"the service here was pathetic. no "hi, welcome in", just awkwardness, no pleasantness at all. I ordered a mango, dragon fruit refresher, and it was sad. it tasted and looked like water with a hint of dragon fruit. they usually come out a dark purple color with lots of flavor but this one was so clear and watered down."

"The baristas nice and friendly. Love this location, so cute and cozy. Also, fast service, definitely recommend."
