"I have used Allstate ins for homeowners and cars for MANY years. I have never had a claim. The first time I submitted a claim for landlord damage, the office looked for loopholes in ways they could deny the claim. I had pictures and invoices to support my claim but they denied it because I didn't notify the office in sufficient time. (I was late because I didn't know I could claim this. It was destruction of property by a tenant). I was so distraught in fixing the house I didn't think of it. They stopped returning calls, the front desk was rude, and I was told I needed to call corporate if I had any complaints. They acknowledged the damage was real, but they weren't going to help me AT ALL because of the loophole. But things work out for a reason. I called State Farm, moved all of my policies, and saved BIG. This wasn't my goal, just leaving Allstate was. Allstate hasn't been the same since it was Halliday."
