"I wouldn't even give 1 star but no stars isn't an option. THIS DOCTOR & PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! The office has lost (electronic) paperwork 2x (I mean how does that even happen? Is always late. Dr only does telehealth which is great because we live far anyway BUT will call and I'll answer and he'll just hang up. Call private (which I understand) but you cant call back. So I call office even though appointment time is after hours but doesn't matter anyway because their answering service is people in India who are not in office and only can make appointments & note your account (this is also the case during business hours, you don't get a secretary at all EVER) Never fills scripts on time so if your on a controlled substance good luck. One time my child went 30 days without his medication because we couldn't get a hold of anyone (Indian answering service just kept saying well you have an appointment in 30 days and say they'd note for the doc to call but no one ever did) and then the next month of meds they just didn't send in new script that was said would be prescribed."
"Dr.Malik and his staff do not respect their patients time and will continually let you down. It is a battle to get refills and they even stopped filling a few of the meds they put me on with zero explanation. He has me seeing his NP with little ability to write most scripts and she says she’ll contact Dr.Malik to remedy the situation but it never happens. This is not the practice for you if you take your mental health seriously. It’s been the case for years here and it’s only getting worse. He’s only in this for the money. Just a shame"
"Dr Azfar Malik saw my adult daughter for years. I am her legal guardian. He was always kind, compassionate and a good listener. Yes, we sometimes waited 2 - 3 hours to see him, but we considered it worth it."
"Dr. Malik does not take his patients seriously. He treats me like I know nothing about my own mind or body. He continuously takes calls during sessions and lost his temper with me when I mentioned questioning a diagnosis I was given. He told me the psychologist couldn't override HIS diagnosis (no one was even trying to, I was trying to have a discussion). When I became upset and stood up for myself by saying HE never once evaluated me or diagnosed me, another psychiatrist in the office did after only 15 minutes with me, he put in my chart that I was having a manic episode. He is not a safe space for anyone who wants to ask questions. He's very unprofessional and every time I meet with him, the way he speaks down to me is completely unacceptable. Apparently my 144 IQ, knowledge of my own body, and my own personal research can't possibly mean anything. If you want a quick diagnoses with someone who will push whatever drug is being repped, he's your guy. If you have a mind of your own, I recommend finding someone with a little more compassion. On the plus side, he does tend to hire great NPs... But he keeps running them off too, so don't get too comfortable with one."
"After only three appointments, I can say Dr. Malik is the best psychiatrist I have worked with, out of many. He is very knowledgeable and will change your medications around if they are not working for you. He affirms your thoughts about your mental health and provides motivational speeches. After many years I finally found a psychiatrist I can trust. For those commenting on him being late to meetings. A great psychiatrist is hard to come by, and worth the wait."
