"I went to get my tire changed and they cut the leather on my steering wheeling in the process. There was no reason for that to occur and no one did anything to fix it. My brand new car had more damage leaving there than going in."
"You can scroll and find similar reviews to this. I am not sure how many people look at reviews before finding a place to fix a flat when in the moment of trying to deal with that sort of situation, so not sure this will help anyone. But I will repeat similar to what others have said. Les Schwab seems to have either a time estimation problem or a communication problem or both perhaps? I took my rig there because that is where we got the tires. It was 2:45pm and they said it would be about 1.5 - 2 hrs before they could get to me. I live out of town rurally (definitely can't just walk across town to get home and dont have an alternative rig as my husband is out of town with it), so not much I could do but wait. I get that sometimes things can take a bit longer than expected, definitely have worked at places myself where people have a hard time estimating timeframes (which can definitely be stressful for those actually doing the work, but maybe not the case here, no way for me to know). When 5:30pm rolled around and my car had yet to move, I grew concerned, knowing they close at 6pm. After they tracked info down on my rig, they said it would likely be another 45 mins before they could get to it, that even though they close at 6pm, they stay until the job is done. Commendable I guess, but it was almost 6:30pm and my rig still hadn't moved. I would have much preferred more realistic communication on the timeframe so maybe I could have tried to figure something else out rather than spend over 4 hours at this place. Plus side is, I wasn't charged like some other people said they were. Still feel like I paid with my time though. Update based on reply: Thank you for the response, but I actually asked about the snow tire queue when I first arrived because I would need to try and figure out a way home (out of town) if it could not get done that evening (so yea, something I was willing to accept knowing it is busy time of year). The gentleman at the front desk informed me that stuff like my situation - flat tire - was separate from the snow tire queue. He followed by giving me that initial 1.5 - 2 hr timeline for when they could get to it. In fact I was pleasantly surprised. So the issue remains the same. Getting a better handle on time and task management as well as more reliable communication of it would go a long way for folks. Or at the very least having some sort of system in place to update people that what was communicated is no longer accurate, rather then having people left hanging. (Can always error on the side of estimating longer than you think it might take rather than over promising.) I know this is crazy time of year, but an over four hour wait on a 2 hour estimate with no other communication throughout (except for when I inquired - which also wasn't encouraging because it took the guy awhile to even figure out what the situation was) was a bit rough."
"Good customer service. Very accomodating. If you get there early enough in the day, you'll have no problems with getting your vehicle fixed without an appointment."
"Got there just after closing because I just found out the valve stem on my tire broke (it would go fully flat within a minute if I took the cap off). The employees still checked in my car in to get worked on the next day. My work schedule would not have made it possible to get it checked in the next day. It was a huge help for me, and I appreciate how the staff went out of their way to make the entire experience easier."
"Friendly and quick service if you hit it at the right time. They definitely do things right but also overdone. I'm not sure if they do more than needed because they are trying to cover their backs but their quotes are pretty extreme for easy fixes. A little too expensive for us but if you never want to worry about your vehicle this is definitely the place. They will go beyond what they need to do to make sure your car won't fail."
