"Dr. Coln fixed my son. He was born with gastroschisis (his intestines were outside his body when he was born) and he had a surgery within an hour of being born. That day was the first time I’d met Dr. Coln. I’m not kidding you, my nerves went away when I spoke with him. He explained what he was going to do before the surgery, and came back to meet me in the PACU to let me know how the surgery for my son went. My son was a very complex GI baby, but Dr. Coln never gave up. He was always informative when we had questions. You can just tell that he is a good person and an amazing doctor when you talk to him. After 4 surgeries performed by Dr. Coln, my son was released from the NICU. His scars are so minor, it’s hard to believe he had so many issues when he was born. Dr. Coln and his amazing NP Molly are the best. I cannot think of anybody I’d recommend more than them. Dr. Coln knows his stuff and he’s direct. Such a nice guy too! I will be forever grateful for all he has done for my son. I am so fortunate to have had such a great team caring for my son! The team’s bedside manner is amazing. My son always healed so fast after his surgeries. The experience of being a young, first time mom with a complex baby was really hard, but being able to rely on Dr. Coln and his team was easy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything!"

"Dr. Coln saved my daughter’s life. I am forever grateful for the care we received from him and Molly. My daughter was a NICU NEC baby and is now a stage 4 cancer patient, so we have worked with literally dozens, if not hundreds, of doctors. Some I wouldn’t recognize if I ran into them. Some I would remember a face but not a name. Some I remember a name but not what kind of doc they were. And then there’s some that you never forget. Like a kid’s forever favorite teacher, us medical parents have doctors that we will never forget. These are the ones that often guided us through the darkest days and toughest times. The first time I had to had to my daughter over to a surgeon other than him, I cried. But Dr. Coln called me and told me the surgeon she had was amazing and he was more than confident in this surgeons abilities. That eased my mind so much! I can not say enough great things about him and staff. I would literally fly my daughter across the country to be a patient of his if she needed it."

My son was released from another hospital recently one evening (was told he was “borderline surgical”). The next morning was seen at his primary care office and by early afternoon, his appendix was removed by Dr. Coln (at another facility) and he was finally relieved of pain. So very grateful for all of their help in such a timely manner. All of the staff at the hospital made the experience for me, a scared momma, much more tolerable as well. They were very comforting.
