"Approximately 10 years ago I moved to Waco to take care of my mother. I had to choose an Oral surgeon to go to remove a cyst. That oral surgeon broke my bridge accidentally during the surgery and referred me to Dr. Donna Miller. I went to her and she had written up a plan that she had for me to fix the issue that the oral surgeon had caused. Incidentally she knew I had just gone thru a divorce and was particularly vulnerable and I put my faith in her as she told me she would take especially good care of me and she would only do a “professional” job. She was supposed to put overlays (I think that was what they were called) . Please know that I paid her well over $20,000.00 in advance. The morning of the surgery she came in and shaved down my teeth for caps instead accidentally!!!!! When she realized what she had done she said I had no other choice but to continue with the caps. I went from having beautiful teeth to having terrible constant pain and a mouthful of discolored unattractive teeth. I asked her how much this was costing me and in her words she said it was a wash. She should have given me all my money back and fixed my teeth correctly and hope that I wouldn’t sue her. I had lived with facial swelling , jaw pain, exacerbated migraine and facial distortion. My gums were so sore I could hardly brush my teeth much less eat. It even caused a lisp that she actually said she didn’t hear when my friends and family really noticed the change as well. I have always been a smiler and for the last 10 years I have been embarrassed to open my mouth. I’ve now had to have them replaced. Another financial drain. Thank goodness the pain and swelling I lived with is gone but my life was forever changed. I should have sued her for what she has done to me physically, mentally and financially. She has never offered to give me my money back . I had also lost my brother during this time and was mentally exhausted and just didn’t have the energy for a law suit. I live with regret every day of my life for that as well. I recommend no one use her after knowing what I know. Please don’t support a dentist that would do this aweful thing to her patient. PLEASE DO YOUR CHECKING AROUND. I was taken in by how kind she and her staff were as well. Please please look elsewhere for a good honest dentist with the character and ability to do the right thing."
"Dr. Miller was my childhood pediatrician. She was always kind and comforting to be around."
"My child has been seen by Dr. Miller, since birth, over 3 years. I absolutely adore her. She is always available. Sometimes other appointments running late, have caused me to have to wait, but that is completely normal. She treats my son with care. Examines him fully and although is only a pediatric doctor is competent to make referrals for dentist visits or eye exams. I appreciate her knowledge and experience. If I have questions, I ask and she has always answered. If I have concerns about diagnosis I have requested her to “check again” and she has always complied. I can tell that she has passion for her job and the overall health for the children that she cares for. Due to many kids getting sick, because of the pandemic I try not to keep her too long BUT if I need to I will ask all questions. If I forgot one I will call the office back and the nurses get an answer from her IMMEDIATELY. The whole mercy team is amazing, I can truly attest to this as if Dr Miller is unavailable my child has been seen by other doctors for a “sick appointment”. If this is the case, or even if I call the after hour exchange office Dr Miller/ the office will call to follow up on my son and my concerns."
"Took over an hour to Get seen By Dr. Miller terrible bedside manner for my sick 2 year that was diagnosed with the croupe offered no tips on how to improve implied he may have asthma but then quoted “only time will tell” only cared about him getting a Covid Test which I understand and then ended the appointment I waited over an 1 hour in the room to have a 10 minute conversation that Shooed my concerns about my Child off! His oxygen level was at 93 which she said isn’t terrible!( what does that mean” She did look at his chart once in the appointment ! She then proceeded to say What’s wrong with his teeth I replied he has an Sdf treatment on his teeth. Which her response what happened (I can understand curiosity) but that’s not why I came to this appointment I came to see if my son was okay health wise. She overstepped in the since of she’s a doctor not a dentist comments unnecessary."
