"I wanna give a big thank you to everyone at Genesis Care for taking such great care of my grandpa. Dr. Lasley is amazing! I can see how much he cares about his patients. My grandpa is very appreciative and thankful for all your help and attentiveness through the process. We are so happy we came to Genesis Care."

"I was excited about the more non evasive care for my skin cancers. I gave them an authorization getting my medical records. I had and have good insurance. I met with Dr. Lasley in Late April and after taking measurements, looking over my head They said they would get with the "committee" and get back to me to schedule the next step. I am very impressed how Doctor Lasley and his staff fought my insurance provider to get the approval to cover my procedures. They ironed it all out and have been very good at communicating with me to get me scheduled for the next step. David"

"Review I am a 46 year old BC survivor without reconstruction (due to an infection). I was diagnosed with BC three years ago, completely unexpected. The first red flag with Dr Jag was after asking him if I should take Benadryl before my first chemo treatment. I had a conversation with the lady at the wig store and she suggested I ask. His immediate response scared me. I did not respond when he told me I should not be talking to other people about my treatment because it was irrelevant. I was confused because I simply posed a question, but he thought I questioned his expertise. The second red flag was when I asked about bloodwork because I had heard about cancer markers. His response was that he didn’t use them, and he was the doctor so only he would know what numbers were important. Again, I was just curious but felt scolded in asking. Another red flag came after Christmas when I told him I had missed a few Tomoxifin pills due to the busy holidays (I had two toddlers at the time). I asked if this could mean Cancer again. He said: “Yes. Don’t miss any more pills.” When this made me cry he said with a straight face: “I just tell it like it is”. My new oncologist explained how the body processes T and that missing a pill now and then could not in fact cause cancer. Another red flag came when a fellow survivor and friend died with stage four unexpectedly. His response was to stay out of the breast cancer community if I couldn’t handle it. When I felt a lump that turned out to be scar tissue (I did not know that would happen after radiation), he would not issue a scan because “insurance wouldn’t pay for it anyway”. My new oncologist issued a CT right away and insurance never questioned it. He also told me to go to a third world country to see what dying really looked like. Additional red flags should have been evident from the start, like the fact that I never saw another female patient or anyone my age. All the patients were older men. Maybe that’s why he felt compelled to pet my head and only talk about my hair coming in when I would see him. Needless to say, I am seeing a much kinder and informative oncologist now, and I have learned that advocating for myself is a good thing. I also have new standards for how I am willing to be treated."

"I have no personal experience here but my mother did. They diagnosed her with stage 4 pancreatic cancer gave her 2 months to live and flat out refused chemo treatments for her. Well that didn't set right with us so she went to ctcoa and as it turns our landmark was way off!! She lived for 2 years more before her time was up. Please please dont get treatment here. Dont let someone lead you wrongly into thinking your time may be up when you've still got so much living to do. Everyone's life is worth more than that. This place needs a serious overhaul in doctors and staff and how they treat their patients. It's scary to think how many people may have given up because they didn't want to deal with treatment help or whatever the reasoning behind them is."
