Capaz Counseling

Capaz Counseling, located at 1301 Woodswether Road in Kansas City, Missouri, is a health institution that focuses on helping individuals tap into their natural resiliency. As a licensed specialist clinical social worker and somatic experiencing practitioner, I specialize in working with individuals aged 13 and older to heal from symptoms of complex trauma such as depression, anxiety, panic, overwhelm, and feelings of disconnection. I have experience working with a diverse range of communities, including organizers, healers, immigrant communities, queer/QTGNC and polyam communities, neurodivergent individuals, survivors of sexual trauma, and KCKPS high school students. At Capaz Counseling, I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Somatic Experiencing, Parts Work, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Yoga.
