"I would stay far away from this group. They charged me $150 for a no show appointment that I scheduled 5 months prior. It might be fair if I ever met the counselor or re-scheduled after the counselor cancelled our session (twice) but none of that occurred. They re-booked automatically without consent or verification of the appointment. I continued to receive passive aggressive text messages stating "looking forward to seeing you in a few", "I have you down for x", etc. It was completely out of the blue and it felt like they were putting the blame on the client to justify the late cancellation fee for a quick money grab. It was both unethical and unprofessional. I would never recommend this group to anyone. Stay clear"

"I cannot say enough about the wonderful help I have received through Brookside Counseling. Mara, Kindra, and Brenda are all top-notch, compassionate, professional, skilled, and brought results--I fully realize I brought much of the results through my hard work, but they made everything very actionable and understandable. I started working with Mara and we focused on a combination of CBT and EMDR therapies. This really helped me process some acute traumas and focus on more general dialectics with Kindra through DBT Group therapy. Lastly I worked with Brenda in DBT Aftercare and while I didn't stay long, it helped me understand how I can utilize aftercare techniques to problem-solve and address challenges that come up. I am now at a point where I am taking skills learned in all three modalities, from all three providers, and putting them to use daily with success. If you are looking for a therapist and are considering Brookside Counseling, I highly recommend you give it a shot."

"Can't say that they are good or bad but based on my own experience. I have made two attempts to schedule an appointment either time was my call ever acknowledged or returned. It was stated on their voicemail that a call would be return in 3 business days. I find it hard to believe they are that busy. Moreover it shows a lack of professionalism and compassion of this group of therapists. Put in one more call today 11/02/2022 . I seriously doubt that I will hear back from them."

"The therapists at Brookside Counseling are the best – especially Mara! I’ve been seeing her for several years and she has supported me through the most challenging times in my life. She genuinely cares about her clients and works diligently to find therapeutic strategies and techniques that meet each client’s individual needs. Mara has helped me change my life for the better and in all honesty, I don’t know where I would be without her. Kindra and Brenda are also wonderful group leaders!
