"I am not normally afraid of anything, but 6 years ago after a bad experience I quit going in for my yearly well women exam. I reluctantly called this office bc I had just turned 40, things were different and I knew that I have a family history that makes these appointments even more important than most other women my age. Let me first say, that I wanted to find any reason in the world to not actually show up for the appointment that I made. Fortunately, or unfortunately, however you want to look at it, Corey answered my call. I connected with her immediately. She was kind, funny, sweet and sincere. She made my appointment for the next day, so I wouldn’t “back out” cause she knew I wanted too lol. I called today, the day of my appointment to reschedule, bc let’s be honest, I just didn’t want to. Luckily I was able to leave a message on their voicemail to reschedule. I felt so relieved. Then, guess who called me back with a smile on her face (yep, you could hear it via phone) Corey lovingly talked me into coming, even though I was going to be late for my appointment. I arrived 30 minutes late and was happy to tell the girl at the front that I was very late for my appointment and would gladly reschedule. She said, no problem. Your best friend is here waiting for you. Just have a seat. I’ll be damned if Corey didn’t meet me in the lobby and tell me how happy she was that i had made it. 10 minutes later when I was having my exam, guess who held my hand through the whole thing?? Yep. Still Corey. Dr B is amazing too, also sweet kind and totally empathetic to my situation. No one wants to have this exam, but if you are a survivor of trauma, or just anxious about doing it, these are your people. I will NEVER go anywhere else. Unless Corey goes somewhere else… then I’m going to follow her. Total love to you girls."
