"City Thrift Union Mission is located in the Shannon Valley Shopping Center, next to Ace Westlake Hardware Store at College and Antioch, Overland Park, KS. Few staff in store is evidenced by need to tidy-up misplaced items throughout the store. RECENTLY RENOVATED with a new drivethrough area for Donations and a larger store with more furniture. Aisles are wide and the store is well lighted with OVERHEAD SIGNS ADENTIFYING MERCHANDISE. Prices are higher. The selection varies from furniture to children's toys, books, DVDs, few framed art pictures, children's clothes, men's and women's clothing, shoes for the family, varied household items and a vintage section in the front of the store, adjacent to where there is a long jewelry case. THERE ARE SMALL APPLIANCES ONLY. DISHES, pots and pans, glassware and more. Not wheelchair accessible, has limited disabled parking. 3-17-2024. Mgb."

"I really enjoy the store and if you go when they have specials it’s even better. Some of the prices are a little high but if you get there on the sale day like I said it’s worth it."

"This is the nastiest, most over priced thrift store I have EVER been in an I’m a frequent thrifter. Tried to charge me $25 for a purse I thought was only $2.50 because of their horrible handwriting on the tags, which it wouldn’t even be worth that new in the store. 2 clothing items and a picture frame costs me $35 dollars and their system declined my payment when I had more than enough in my account. Their service was slow and not professional. Will not be back and don’t recommend you giving them your time or business either. Plenty of other clean and better managed thrift stores in the area."

"Yikes. Prices are insane. There’s no question why the racks here are so crammed. They’re pricing so that when the tag is “half off” it’s actually regular thrift store price (still high for a thrift store IMO-even at half off!). I had a couple household goods I was going to get but after seeing the clothing prices I put it all back out of principle and left."

"This place is big and has tons of cool stuff they support City Union Mission but they definitely look up everything and put market prices on everything. They are very proud of some of this stuff. For us treasure hunter thrifters it is hard hunting in this place with the pricing but the selection was very good didn't pick up much though.."
