"I believe this is the 1st review I have written since being sued for defamation after writing a 3 star Trip Advisor review in 2018. I'm writing it because I believe that the work, dedication, and passion Jennifer Johnson, now with the JRJ law firm, displayed during her representation of me deserves such. And I know that if someone sues me for writing this review she will represent me, and win. Jennifer Johnson, and JRJ Law Firm bring integrity, honesty, scruples, and dedication to the practice of law. Ms. Johnson has represented me in three civil suits, as both defendant and plaintiff, in federal and district courts. She originally represented me, my daughter, and my farm as defendants in a defamation (SLAPP) lawsuit after I wrote a three-star review on TripAdvisor. Ms. Johnson did the work necessary to have the suit dismissed in summary judgement (something that seldom happens in federal courts). She kept me apprised every step of the way. I never felt I was being ignored and she was always available to answer questions, even on weekends and evenings. She communicated with me on a regular basis, listened to my questions and concerns, and always made me feel heard during this very stressful time in my life. She followed up her work on that lawsuit by representing my daughter and me in our countersuit to the SLAPP lawsuit. Her work against the individuals and business, as well as the attorney and the law firm that filed the original suit, allowed us to receive a settlement prior to trial that made us VERY, VERY happy. Between these two lawsuits, Ms. Johnson also represented me in a business dispute with a damage restoration company after a fire at our farmhouse. After having a mechanics lien filed against me, Ms. Johnson represented me in a counter claim using the Kansas Consumer Protection Act. Her work once again, allowed us to reach a very agreeable settlement with the company and have the mechanic’s lien removed. All at a very reasonable cost.
