The Barton

"I love living at The Barton so much. I’ve lived here since the very beginning of it being open, and my expectations were never let down. I will say, the ownership got a little rocky at the beginning of 2020 through around the month of August, but new management is involved now and they’re absolutely incredible!! Any reviews that suggest otherwise are from the brief few months period of a different ownership. You cannot beat the exceptional staff and amazing atmosphere! I love everyone here. Ariel and Courtney are amazing people I love them so much! They make my living here fantastic and this place feels so much like home. Best place to live in St. Louis! Amazing amenities as well. Edit add on: EJ is the best maintenance man ever! He is so detailed and great and I am so glad he is a part of The Barton. My dog loves him too!"

"Unfortunately, I highly recommend against living at the Barton. On the surface the Barton appears high end, and is certainly priced that way ($2.1K-$2.4K for a small 1-bed). However, the experience of living at the Barton is anything but. Stay away for the following: - The building is constructed extremely cheaply with absurdly thin walls and ceilings. Since living at the Barton I’ve been continuously disrupted by the mere walking of my upstairs neighbor. I assumed my neighbor is extra heavy footed, but I’ve heard the same complaint from many of my neighbors. This is not acceptable considering the price range. - In theme with the cheap construction of the building, the range hood vents directly into the apartment leading to very poor air quality. My air purifier reads the air as hazardous anytime I cook. On top of these issues and others, The Barton will be much more expensive than the base advertised rate since parking, utilities, internet, etc. are not included in the base rate. The staff are quite friendly, but it’s simply not a good place to live."

"I have called the Barton home since 2018 when it first opened. Glenn the new building manager has brought the Barton back to the exceptional customer service and sense of community it was known for pre-pandemic. Super clean, well organized and great amenities. Pet friendly. Highly recommend!"
