Hickory Trace Apartments

"ok, so. ive never lived here, but the looks of the apartments they look kinda old, and ive read some of the reviews, and i feel like i should move here but i wouldn't suggest these apartments, one review had some pictures of the ceiling falling apart, the person said there was something wrong with there pipe and the shower and/or sink didnt work, the pictures by the owner must have been old, when the owner took the pictures, it even looked old back then, but im riding by there soon, i am NOT looking for an apartment, but ive never really seen them before, i dont live far from st.Ann so im riding by there and i am going to look around the OUTSIDE of the apartments to see what do they actually look like now, and a lot of reviews said there were roaches and bugs everywhere and the person said that was because of THEM, i saw Hickory Trace on an app called Cragslist and i dont even know why are they selling old apartments on apps, maybe if people who live here has a plumber and bug cleaners they can fix up the apartments, but the name is cool, Hickory Trace Apartments! that is a nice name for an apartment complex, but i love the jokes they make to trick people into Hickory Trace, guess they are trying to give people cheap apartments with cheap rents huh, but all you need is a plumber, and bug cleaners, then you are all good to live here "Hickory Trace Apartments!""

"They start off nice, then get scandalous and mean, bed bugs and roaches and the carpets stink , also just run ,, don't live in this filthy place"

"I lived here with my girlfriend from March 2020 to the end of November 2021. Despite never being a formal tenant (not listed on the lease), the leasing office contacted me when "trying" to reach my girlfriend. While living there I saw at least 4 tenants in our building come and go, likely for the same reasons I'll mention shortly. Cockroaches were a common sight in the kitchen and occasional throughout the rest of the apartment in the beginning but were easily kept at bay with traps and sterilizers by the end. Bed bugs arrived shortly after another tenant in August 2020 and after reporting it to the Property Manager and temporarily moving to my parent's to give them enough time and space for a professional treatment, nothing was ever done. When we returned we bombed the apartment for a short reprive, but they came back with a vengeance and would only be gone for a week or two after bombing sessions. A current tenant and a former tenant tried to come into the apartment and we had to call the police to keep them from breaking down the door to get in. Thankfully the Breckenridge Hills Police Department is very close and had good response times whenever we needed to call them. Another reviewer mentioned a homeless man sleeping in the hall and it is completely true. I saw him many times and there was another one that would sleep on the stairs from time to time. After speaking with the man in the hallway he never returned while we were there. For $580/month I didn't expect a lot, only the base essentials: a clean and safe place to live and that wasn't the case. I would recommend highly against living here."

"Hickory Trace Apartments are dated, and the upkeep is terrible !!! They have a sewer issue that has not been taking care of in over 5 months. My sister apartment smells like rotten sewer all the time!!!! The carpet on the inside of the buildings are heavy soiled and has a terrible odor, it has been reported so many times!!! The unprofessional office girl had the nerve to tell my sister that they only shampoo the carpet every four years!!!! Their sick and nasty!!! I have taken photos in the buildings and apartments and turned it into our family lawyer!!! If you could move any where else do so!!! I would make this a last resort!!!!"

"I’ve lived in this apartment on and off. When I say this apartment not how it use to be when I first came in 2012. We get new people in the office it feels like when you get use to someone you come and it’s a new manager. Before the winter begin in 2018 I test my heater it didn’t work. I needed a new furnace. Instead of replacing it they sent contractors to trick it to start. 4 hours later it was out again temperatures started to drop heat still not working. Finally I was done being nice and went to Breckenridge Health Department. The next day he gave them a violation on Tuesday by Friday I had a new furnace and hot water tank. Why does it take all that to get things fix. During the winter if you have no heat it’s against the law to not have heat. I encourage anyone with that problem go to the health department. Because they still go want that rent on the first. Lastly the maintenance is a joke we went through so many of them and I don’t care what anyone says I notice things was coming up missing in my apartment. The young lady said she’ll look into it nothing happened. But things was still coming up missing. So I changed both locks and never gave them a key and what do you know nothing was missing anymore. I’m not a terrible tenant I always paid my rent on time I never called them unless I had to. I recommend you stay away from this apartment. You will be disappointed."
