"I called this business on Saturday, October 28, 2023 and asked about their services and explained what I needed done. I was told by some gentleman that I needed an appointment, which was strange to me, but I had to respect their policy. I sent an appointment for the following Wednesday at 5:30. I arrived a few minutes early only to find the doors locked, the windows shuttered and a sign that indicated "CLOSED." At almost 5:40pm, I left the lot. I called the owner to let him know that I had arrived and was now leaving. He answered and was very flustered asked to call me back. He called me back and literally made every excuse under the book, 1) The worker was working on order and had to leave to get supplies, we're short staffed, we had a death in the family, 3) she's down the street and I'm on my way, 40 she's at the light right now. None of these were believable as he was just pulling things out of the air. He then went on to say to me, "I can't believe that you're not willing to wait 8 minutes." I had already waited 8 minutes and no one was there when I left the establishment. I also wonder if he would have allowed me to be late for the same appointment. I tried to explain the entirety of the situation of having an appointment for 5 days, showing up and then having no one present to honor the appointment. This man, literally tried to argue his point with me. First of all, you are disrespectful for wasting my time and my gas. Secondly, you are disrespectful for setting an appointment that you could not honor. I have done business with Embroidery Expressions in Granite City for more than 10 years and I don't need an appointment as they are there doing business whenever I arrive. I just wanted to find someone closer to home to save time and gas. I tried to support this black business, but Custom Prints doesn't understand the art of pleasing the customer, in my opinion. There was no apology, no offer to win my business, no attempt to make amends, absolutely nothing. Good luck to you and your business, sir.
