"No one knows how to do anything we ask about!! We call and call, spend hours on the phone and nothing is done. Such a shame because I really would like to use them. But I value my time (and sanity) more than dealing with them!!"
"I have been with OptumRx for about five months and I am done. Today is February 13th and I've been waiting for one medication since January 17th and another one since January 20th. It's not that they're out of stock but I can't tell you why because the info they relay is unreliable. Got two medications they cancelled put back into the queue back in December. The next day when I awoke, I went to their website to discover that one of the meds had been cancelled again. The reason? I had requested they use USPS as my default carrier but because this medication was late they decided they needed to overnight it FedEx - so rather than send it to arrive in 2-3 days, they canceled the order because (they said) I hadn't authorized them to use FedEx. The 2nd medication they hadn't cancelled? That one showed up a couple of hours later via FedEx overnight. I take 12 prescriptions daily. I have gone without at least two of them every month and in November I missed 98 doses from five medications that were varying degrees of late. My phone keeps tabs of how long I talked to each one of my contacts throughout the month. I talk to my elderly father twice a day, every day - and in the last 5 months I've spent more time talking to Optum every month trying to fix their screw ups than I have spent talking to my dad. P.S. I got this today...check out the waste in the pics."
"Any accurate review of Optum Pharmacy is going to read as hyperbole at best. I spent an hour and thirty-seven minutes on the phone with them today after they cancelled prescription 'E' from 1/17 (17 days ago) for the 4th time. Yesterday I spent over two hours on the phone fixing their 3rd cancellation of that prescription along with another script I'll call 'V'. Today they explained that the reason they cancelled it this time was because the pharmacist needed to talk to my doctor and my doctor hasn't called yet. I was in my doctors office two days ago and she called the pharmacy and put them on speaker phone and I literally heard the pharmacist say, "Okay, I'll expedite this and we'll overnight it." When I explained that the C.S. rep said, "Oh, I can assure you that never happened." I ended the call and called back. This time the reason given for the cancellation was that I hadn't authorized them to send prescriptions FedEx and they can't send this via my preferred carrier (USPS). I pointed out that they overnighted script 'V' yesterday via FedEx so apparently I've authorized FedEx. She responded, "Well I've fixed it so it should be okay now." I ended the call and called back. THIS time the problem was that on Thursday (2 days ago) when my doctor spoke to the pharmacist (in front of me), she cancelled it so that's why it's not coming. I've been out of this medication for weeks. My health is continuing to decline without it. This is normal with Optum. I'm disabled on SSI, don't drive and have mobility issues or I would have used another pharmacy. As it is now, I'm changing anyway. I won't be able to get my scripts this way either but at least they'll be in the same state as me."
"Ships products whether you needed or not. Even when not on auto refill. Debit my account without prior notification of the cost. Contactly out of stock"
"If you need to medication quickly, don’t even consider Optum! I’ve been trying to get my prescription filled since November 24th (it’s now December 7), and I still haven’t received it. Initially they said it would be delivered on December 1, then they changed the date to December 6 - 9. They ship medications the slowest (and I’m sure cheapest) way possible, so there’s very little tracking info. Very frustrating!"
