Reviews
"Do not live here. Your car is not safe, the entryways are always left unlocked or opened for anyone to enter. You will receive no help from the office on any matters. Also you will be sweating in your apartment for about 9 months of the year due to lack of control over A/C. Mac properties is a predatory business and you should look elsewhere."
"Pros: solid amenities, great gym for an apartment complex, maintenance team is the best and fastest I've ever encountered. Management is very responsive. Even if there is an issue they cant resolve for me, they will at least get back to me quickly and let me know. interior is aesthetically pleasing. Cons: Noise pollution is awful. The same car alarm goes off outside your window every 15 minutes. Emergency services use this street exclusively to go everywhere else in the city, so there are sirens 100 ft away about every 30 minutes. Half the time theyre going to your building because the fire alarms are also constantly being triggered, or theyre here for another shooting response. Thats the other thing, the safety of the neighborhood has gotten significantly worse since Covid. Shootings used to be contained to the far side of Gillham, but they now happen pretty regularly right outside this building. Ive been shot at or threatened to be shot too many times in the past year. The AC is a nightmare in the spring and fall. Residents dont have personal control over when it is blowing hot or cold air, its on a sensor. So there are several months out of the year where the sensor is flipped to heat over night and you spend an 80-90 degree day with no AC. The windows are also pretty old and the drafts do not help with the temperature problems. The same happens in reverse, it may be 30 degrees out, but since there was one 60 degree day earlier in the week, the sensor will not turn your heat on. This is easier to deal with because you can just bundle up, but spending a week in a 30 degree apartment is still frustrating If you do move here, whatever you do, avoid living in a unit facing the pool. its a migraine inducing experience from dawn to dusk of at least 3 screaming children and 4 different speakers all trying to compete to see who can be loudest on a daily basis."
"Do not live at this property. They give the appearance of clean and classy, but this is dirtiest building I've ever lived in. There are mice everywhere. Management is doing nothing about it. Cars are broken into on daily basis. There was a homeless guy living in the gym for a month. There was a shooting near by a few weeks ago. If you tour, wonder off by yourself to some of the other floors and notice the smell. The carpets are never cleaned in the hallways. AC/heat issues constantly. Do not live here!"
"I moved in a few days ago and biggest regret is taking other google reviews lightly. 1. I was promised gated parking but the caveat is the gate is broken for most of the year (other neighbors can attest). I got my car broken into on my second day here, and every single day I walk out there is broken glass in the lot from other cars that are broken into. I reached out to the property manager Caitlin Beard and Alyssa Cortez. Response was: gate is broken, vendors are out, and if I don't like the property I can pay to terminate my lease. There is no acknowledgement of the fact that I signed for a property with gated parking but did not get gated parking. The response was extremely unprofessional and unsupportive with no accountability to maintain the terms listed in the contract 2. Half of the cabinets are broken or on the verge of breaking 3. Hallways smell like rotten food - extremely unpleasant 4. Windows are not sealed These are some of the problems I'm noticing after only a week of living here."
"My car has been broken into more than 4 times here at the Bellerive. There’s multiple occurrences of Car break-ins a week and nothing gets done about it by police. This apartment layout and amenities are top tier but the temperature is uncontrollable, and safety is a big issue. There was even a break in, in the interior amenities. Any city dweller knows to expect some petty crime but I’m not sure this much is justifiable. Apartment price gauging for these properties is also insane. The apartments do not get updated but the rate steadily raises by $75-100 a year with no regard for keeping current residents happy. Also, interior gym times change on a whim. Management has taken four months to resolved my billing issues….. the apartments are modern and having greenery in the city is nice but I would suggest thinking it over a few times before choosing a MAC property especially if you’re paying a luxury price."
