"Just went to visit a friend, but the complex looks great! The apartments look updated compared to last time I visited them in the late 1980's lol"
"Management sucks. They are snakes. Run. The apartments are not worth the price. Especially with 2 washers and 2 dryers per buidling that don't even work."
"Look for a different place. Management sucks. Took maintenance 3 weeks to finally come in and get me a new dishwasher only to have them record my kitchen and living room because i was "hoarding" and it was unsanitary. Then got a letter about cleaning it up or else they would evict me. The dishes they took a video of was from the night before when i had family over for dinner and didn't get to it yet, which i did do once i got home from work the next day. The boxes that i had in the video is from ordering things from amazon. i believe in recycling and they dont have a recycling bin, so i didnt take it to the recycling center yet, which i do at the end of the week. (They came to my apartment thursday). The "things" i was hoarding and what they consider as unsanitary is my 6 year old and 10 month old toys on the ground from playing with it the night before with family. Maintenance crew also left their tools and trash from the "new" dishwasher in my kitchen too to leave me clean it up. Oh, and they can call you if they ever need anything, but when you need to talk to them, they are only available by email."
"After two years here, I made the decision to move closer to work; however, that was not the only factor that spurred me to move. I was living in a one bedroom and paying $735 a month which was a steal for the area. The Peterson Group who owned them when I moved in was flexible, understanding, and cognizant that they were a mid-range complex and priced their rent accordingly; however, when they were bought out by the Orion Property Group, reasonable rent, attention to basic detail, and customer service went by the wayside. They tried to raise my rent to just under $1000 a month for a one bedroom. No W/D in the unit, dated fixtures, and no secure entrance to the buildings? These apartments are not worth $1000 a month in rent despite what their "market research" revealed. When I moved out, I didn't expect to get all of my deposit back which was fine by me; however, I logged into my Rent Cafe account and noticed they were refunding me most of it. When the check hadn't arrived after a month when they claimed they had mailed it, I got fussy. Long story short, they blamed me for not having the correct new address on file. When I presented proof that I had indeed provided them the correct new address for me, no apology for the delay or even acknowledgement of THEIR mistake. PRO * I rarely saw or heard my neighbors and when I did, everyone was pleasant and respectful. * Maintenance was very responsive and very kind. * The location of the complex relative to resources could not be beat. CON * Two washers and two dryers for the entire building. This is problematic. Also, they're not coin, cash, or card operated. You have to download a temperamental app and hope it works on the day you do your laundry. * The fixtures in the common areas of the buildings are in desperate need of updating. Peeling paint, scratches, dents, torn carpet, etc, were commonplace in my building. * BUGS! Sure, they offered pest control. Massive carpenter ants, smaller centipedes, potato pugs, and water bugs were a familiar sight in the summer months. * Not ADA friendly as there are steps leading into the building and steps going down to the main level and steps going to the upper levels. No elevators here. * The layout, while visually appealing and cozy, is not conducive to moving in/out furniture very well. * One trash dumpster per building and it was often spilling out garbage. * Snow and ice removal was hit and miss. They did an okay job at shoveling the sidewalks; however, the parking lot left A LOT to be desired. * The mailbox hub is an untidy joke with no trashcans around (used to have a couple but the new management removed them). * They are in desperate need of a proofreader for signage and notices originating from the main office of the complex. They were often written with poor, broken English and no regard for spelling, punctuation, or syntax. If you expect people to pay $1000 for a paltry one bedroom, it's not unreasonable to expect proper grammar and polished wording. Some of the stuff they posted or handed out was embarrassingly bad. All in all, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The Orion Property Group doesn't give a hoot about their residents. You can make a spiffy website and claim to genuinely care about your residents, but actions speak louder than words. They'll probably hop on here and respond to this review by expressing a pat thank you for my review, offer me to call the office to speak with them further, suggest that they're working on upgrades, and otherwise attempt to explain away their shortcomings. Save yourself the time, Hunter's Glen. I don't need or want your patronization. I had enough of it while I was a resident."
"My boyfriend has lived here for a few years. They are a decent apartment complex but have a few notes - they were very responsive of a request when he noticed bugs outside and were quick to take care of it. He has never made any additional maintenance requests really but I believe they have also been pretty responsive. I believe they just changed management and he did say that they did remove quite a few trash cans that were usually full and taken care of. My hope is that they are emptied more frequently but the one by the mail boxes and the ones in the laundry at each building."
