"Very Mixed Experience. The other reviews are right, the staff are nice. This year the pool opening was delayed 2 weeks, then it was open for 2 weeks, then shut down the remaining 2 months of summer and they don't seem to care at all that we pay for that amenity and did not get the opportunity to use it. Last year there were several shorter shutdowns for repairs. During the pandemic it was shut down completely for "covid protocols". It is completely false advertising to claim there is a pool here even though they decorate the pool deck to make it look pretty. Washers and dryers in your building. . . maybe. There are two washers for every 20 apartments. And one in my building has been broken for going on 3 months. Before that it was fine, but with just one washer you frequently have to wait. Also they lock the washers when it gets below freezing. So January means you'll end up using a laundromat anyway. My last grumble is that in the 4 years I've been here they have cut down 2 dozen trees. Each one was cut down for a reason, (wind damage, disease, becoming overgrown). The problem is they have not re-planted a single tree in that same four year period. It looks like some ash trees are dying now (likely ash borers). Every day is it less and less the shady welcoming landscape that I loved when I first moved in."
"I’m on the fence about living here. The first year was pretty frustrating. When I moved in I was pregnant and had to walk to another building to do my laundry, since ours was damaged in a fire. It took about four months to fix that laundry and it continued to have problems even after it was fixed. Also, the prices on the washer are wrong. I get overcharged for each use. Over the summer, the pool was closed about 90% of the time yet we still had to pay for that amenity. They come in to spray for bugs or check air filters at least once a month and they only give about 12 hours notice. They’re incredibly dog friendly but half the time there aren’t any poop bags available, and you run the risk of being charged $150 if they find your dogs poop (they make you do a dna test of your pets when you move in). And now, the most frustrating part of living here, they are partnering with a tow company to ticket and tow cars with expired tags. That just seems like a bad way to keep your tenants happy… Let’s not forget that I pay $1400 for a pretty rundown apartment with zero modern updates."
"When I showed them pictures of the stairs being broken, even an entire board completely taken off, they just re-tacked the bad boards with a small piece of wood instead of getting them replaced and the stairs remained unsafe. When I first moved in, there were many bugs in the carpet lime fleas and some other kind that I had to exterminate myself. I told them about my downstairs neighbors creeping on me and looking through my window, and they did not suggest anything helpful, like moving into a different place. I was charged $25 convienence fee every month for paying rent using a card online.... how is that convenient for me and not them? Why would I have to pay that fee? Seems like an underhanded way of getting more money from their renters. At some point I was paying my elecrticity bill, and someone elses. The apartment people took about 5 months to get me that money refunded and I had to remind them to get it back."
"10/10 would highly live here again! The management team was by far the best, which is incredibly hard to find these days. Want a team that's actually going to genuinely care about you while simultaneously handling all of your apartment repairs, this is the place! Thank you again to the Bicycle Club management team for the spectacular year!"
"If you want a less than average place to live then this is it. New washers are horrible, and when you request a refund you do not receive it. The apartments are old and run down yet they continue to raise our rent in horrible amounts. Pool was only open a few weeks this summer, yet another amenity we pay for and cannot use. As far as security goes I have seen them 1 time when 4 cars were vandalized several weeks ago."
