"Good experience and fun train ride for our boys. Not fully restored, but functional trains and passenger car. Volunteer only staff do a good job keeping this going."
"Lovely experience to have with kids! The volunteers were super kind and answered the kids questions. It’s a little hot as there is no AC on the trains but the breeze is nice and it’s only about 45 minutes so it’s perfectly manageable if you wear light clothes!"
"Nice little train ride on a diesel engine. The staff (all of which are passionate volunteers) were very friendly. The train doesn't go very far (~5 miles) but takes about 45 minutes round trip. On the way, there's at least 3 crossings, and at least one is a very old crossing with older hardware. The other crossings are modern, with fake bell sounds and LED lights."
"Had a great experience! Simple, affordable, and not over-crowded like other KC events can be. Love kids activities that you can knock out on a Saturday morning in less than an hour especially with younger kiddos. Our boys had a blast! The people who ran the train were so sweet. The train host gave lots of valuable information and some cool Belton and train history! Would recommend!"
"We had a great time on the train. My 3 year old loved it. It's a slow train ride that takes you down a few miles then stops let's you get move into the outdoor seats if weather permits then drives back. During the ride they give you a little history on the trains and railroad. If your kid is obsessed with trains they will love it."
