"It's been over 10 years, but I just ran across this. Dr. Banton was amazing. I had been through a few really poor psychiatrists treating my children. Then after my son tried to hang himself and the psychiatrist at the time said "don't worry, children under 10 are rarely successful in suicide attempts." Dr. Banton was recommended to me to treat my son ( my husband, the children's father died when my son was 8 and my daughter just 3). Dr Banton understood my son, took the time to actually talk to him and was immensely helpful. As my daughter got older she began having problems and I took her to Dr. Banton also. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He was always worth the wait."
"Evertime I had an appointment with Dr. Banton I had to wait 1-7 hours! I've been seeing him for 6 years and tried at least 25 different medications and none of them worked at all. I asked to be put on a different type of medicine but he just wanted to try SSRI's that never did anything. I was put on medicine as a child that made me go from 65 pounds to 128 in under a year. I have lasting thyroid problems from taking medicine he prescribed. I stopped seeing him 8 years ago but I still have lasting side effects like fainting which has caused me to split my face open and injure my foot for 10 months just from falling"

"He has helped my brother for over 20 plus years.My bother would of never been able to work a job,live on his own. Believe me we went threw over 10 Doctors before finding Dr.Banton. He has a heart of gold.And treatment was like taking care of his own family. You will not find a better doctor who truly appreciate and cares for your family.And for the person who says he is in it for money absolutely not true.My brother was on a very limited income.Helped him with samples.To try meds frist.And his staff goes above and beyond also.Yes he is a busy doctor.But well worth the care and compassion."
