"DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Deanna Runyon left me a voicemail canceling my appointment 2 days before it. Their reasoning being that I have Medicaid as my secondary insurance. What does that have to do with my primary insurance? My secondary insurance expires next month and they offered me the option to reschedule later. No thank you! Why patronize an establishment that doesn't value me as a patient?! And to make things worse I am a Mercy employee which is why I chose them in the first place. They explained that they are now a private practice. This seems like discrimination to me. I suggest asking people what insurance they have before even making an appointment."
"I wish I could give 0 stars if I could. The office manager is uneducated and classist. I made an appointment for my child who is experiencing a medical issue and told the office manager I would be using my private insurance and rather than asking for the information for my private insurance she looked up my son in the Medicaid system then called back and canceled my appointment saying they can't accept Medicaid. She never verified my private insurance which isn't contingent upon Medicaid. It's a completely separate insurance that requires me to pay a copay for this visit. I agreed to leave a card on file for the appointment on the initial call, which the office manager said was a requirement, but she didn't ask me for the information on the call because she never intended to keep the appointment. She intended to run my son's name through an alternate insurance system without my permission rather than verifying the insurance the office accepts for the appointment. I asked for the policy that my son can't receive medical care at this office if he has Medicaid as a secondary insurance and she told me she doesn't have a policy for that. I will be contacting t the office email in an attempt to reach the owner and I'll be contacting Mercy offices so they know the type of people they're in contract with that find reasons to deny services to those who qualify for Medicaid services as if they can't possibly have other insurance and pay the copay for the appointment."
"They refuse to hire an ASL sign language interpreter for the Deaf. Their excuse was "its a private office". It's in Mercy Hospital one of the biggest hospitals in St Louis . Last time I checked private offices have to follow the law too. When asked how they will communicate with a deaf patient they said they don't know."
"Just in general: All Doctors!!! Please check your staff at the reception desk. Giving patients attitudes when we call makes us not want to visit you again. WE ARE PATIENTS!! We deserve respect and to speak to a receptionist who is kind. I was making a New Patient appt for my daughter and the receptionist was really rude. Ya and Receptionist lady, I caught that lil comment before you hung up. Smh"
"I hate to even give him 1 star. He came into the room and started talking (not listening - I had to repeat some things several times). He decided to prescribe something without even looking at my chart - and it was something that I'm allergic to. I had to tell him that. He then gave me some steroid shots. As I got to the receptionist desk, my head started swelling and got red and hot. When he finally came out (not even taking me into a room away from everyone else), he stated, "Well. I've never seen that before. Give her an ice pack." ... and then walked away!! By far the worst medical experience I've had. I would NOT recommend him at all."
