"Treatment/Results is only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars. I had bilateral mammogram and bilateral breast ultrasound. I was told I have pretty dense tissue. I was also told I have many cysts big and small. Which can be common. Cysts can fluctuate in size. I was told my cysts was benign (non cancerous). Follow up in 6 months. I was somewhat ok with this news. What I was not ok with is the fact nobody at the clinic explained "why" I was following up in 6 months. Nobody explained what my next steps were. I was just told to follow up in 6 months. So of course I didn't think too much about it. Figured my doctor would call me to go over my results. So from there I just assumed 6 month follow up was to determine if cyst needed to be drained or removed based off past experience.. Instead I get a letter in the mail that reads: "Your recent breast imaging on March 7, 2023 at our facility showed an area that we believe is probably benign (not cancer). However, in 6 months, you should have follow-up imaging to confirm that this area has not changed. Please call 913-498-MAMM (option 2) to schedule a convenient time for your follow-up." Let's cycle back to my appointment. No staff there at the clinic said we "believe probably benign". That is absolutely concerning to me. No one should have to wait 6 months wondering if it's truly benign!!!! We believe??? I should've been asked to follow up again for more imaging or biopsy. Something. I need to be absolutely sure my cyst is not cancerous and no not in 6 months!!! Additionally no recommend treatment plan for my other cysts wasn't even discussed either (ie Aspiration, Cyst removal) I feel like my health was not priority here. Even my doctor didn't discuss recommended treatment plan. Just to follow up In 6 months. When I pressed for more answers from my doctor. I was referred to breast specialist to "ease my mind". My diagnosis and treatment should've been as transparent as my mammogram/ultrasound report and it wasn't. I had to wait to get my mammogram/ultrasound report to know something didn't line up to what I was being told in clinic. I still have questions what exactly is complex cysts and why are we guessing it's probably benign?! Letter could've been better written. Furthermore additional testing should've been requested to be sure cyst is benign (I'm referring within same month not 6 months.). As someone who is age 34 with ALL ELDERS DECEASED. 90% cancer related death, my treatment plan should've been better handled. Imaging should've been more thorough. To certain degree I do hold my doctor more accountable hences why I didn't rank even lower. I know the facility is responsible for the imaging but if the facility is going to give results too it's needs to be transparent to what is being told at the clinic. Recommended treatment plans needs improvement no one should have to wait 6 months to know for sure cyst is truly benign. Just completely wild to me to think that is ok. Aside from my treatment concerns no complaints. Place was clean. Staff was really nice, patient and got me in and out in timely manner."
"Ms. Ann is the absolute best. She's done my mammogram a few times over the past 5 years and she's awesome. I heart her. The entire staff here is friendly, they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and answer any questions. I recommend this place to all of my family and friends for any breast matters."
"Robyn was amazing! I told ger I hadn't had a screening in many years because the last ones had been so painful at the place I use to go. She said that it does not have to be that way and she was right! Gentle and quick. I won't hesitate to return."
"I've been going to the breast center at menorah 4 at least seven years and have never had a bad experience yet even the one year they did call me back for a sonogram but that had nothing to do with my insurance coverage and was only good care on their part due to density of tissue that had developed by that stage of my life. I feel well cared for and enjoy using this location for my annual review"
"I had a mammogram on November 4 & my insurance covered it 100%. A few days later I was told to come back in for another screening & ultrasound. I was charged $100. If I had the second procedure done on the same day as the first, my insurance would have covered 100%. I have since found out that most diagnostic centers' doctor looks at the x-rays the same day and if another is needed, it is done that day - no extra charge. I feel I was taken advantage of, charged and put through emotional turmoil by being told I needed to come back for a second mammogram. The good news is that nothing was wrong...the bad news is The Breast Center charged me $100 for a procedure that my insurance would have covered 100% had it been done in one day! The Breast Center knows this. They knew I had to pay $100 for a diagnostic test if it was done on a separte day. Ask questions, ask to see the x-rays and ask to talk to the radiologist THAT day. If another test is needed, demand that it be done the same day. I learned a valuable lesson. Unfortunately it was given by a company that I trusted with my health when in a most vulnerable state.
