"Got our first bill from this provider in February, for services in October, claiming they had made multiple attempts to collect the amount owed. Not a single bill was ever sent to us by mail, email, no phone call, nothing. They threatened to send it to collections due to their negligence in sending a bill. The customer service of this place is astounding atrocious."

"Had a shoulder surgery and an issue or confusion about payment. Of course dealing with Insurance and deductibles is always a struggle. Who got paid..etc. After 6 mo and resolving this payment I get a call from debt collector when I have proof of payment? So unprofessional!! Check who your clinic or hospital uses!"

"I was charged $504.00 for anesthesia administered for a preventative colonoscopy, which should have been covered 100% by my insurance. Anesthesia Associates of Kansas City submitted the bill to my insurance company as diagnostic instead of preventative because I had polyps 5 years ago, that procedure was performed by a different surgeon and anesthesia team. When I and a representative from my insurance company spoke to the rude person in the billing department, we were advised that they would not change the code and rebill and the balance is my responsibility. All other bills associated with this procedure were paid 100% as preventative. I can not understand how they can make the change without informing me of such prior to the procedure, especially when they are not the surgeon and only administering anesthesia for the surgeon."

"They refuse to correct their own billing error, they are billing as cosmetic when the surgery was from a medical diagnosis for medical reasons with pre-approval from insurance. No other company had trouble billing correctly from the surgery and getting paid in full. Insurance will not pay until they correct their billing error which AA of KC refuses to do. Seems like they are trying to stick me with a $2540 bill because they know they won't get that much from the insurance. Now they are threatening to report me to the credit bureaus for non-payment."

"My surgery itself was fine. My insurance is an open network plan and paid the Medicare percentage portion of what they charged. All of my other doctors have accepted that amount as it is the normal contract discount percentage. My insurance company filed a claim asking them to negotiate the portion of the bill that I was responsible for. They declined. Not to mention the two times we have called the customer service was horrible. She was rude and was clear that she wasn’t willing to work with us. Luckily my insurance company notified me they will proceed with legal action and encourage them one last time to settle the case. I will decline using them ever again"
