"I was trying to make an appointment with Dr. Greaves to be seen due to a miscarriage I had last month to make sure everything was okay going forward and to have labs done and potentially an ultrasound as I have had reproductive health issues in the past. Dr. Greaves was recommended to me by my OBGYN in Wichita since we just moved to this area. I spoke to the nurse Lori Owens, she asked whether I had gotten any blood work done at the emergency room when I had gone for the bleeding and miscarriage. I informed her that I had been waiting in a chair in the lobby for several hours in SEVERE pain & they told me it would be several more hours until I could get blood work taken and evaluated since they were so busy at that time. I had then left to try and seek faster healthcare somewhere else. Nobody was able to get me in and I was told that even if I was miscarrying there was nothing they could do for me and that I need to stay off my feet. I had taken SEVENTEEN positive pregnancy tests of varying brands including a digital pregnancy test over the timespan I was pregnant to ease my worries as we’ve had trouble conceiving in the past. Lori told me that since I had no blood work to confirm that I was pregnant at the ER, and since my urine test came back negative at the ER DURING MY MISCARRIAGE, that I was NEVER EVEN PREGNANT. When I likely had started miscarrying days prior to the bleeding as I had no longer been feeling any of the pregnancy symptoms I had been before. She told me that all 17 of my POSITIVE pregnancy tests that clearly showed a darker line progression plus the digital POSITIVE test, was just due to the evaporation line. She completely invalidated my experience, and the loss of my baby. When I calmly and kindly told her how I felt about her treatment, all she said was “I’m sorry you feel that way”. The complete and utter disregard for my emotions after suffering a very recent loss of our baby, and attempt as gaslighting me into thinking I was never even pregnant when I PHYSICALLY went through all of this plus the SEVENTEEN POSITIVE preg tests is completely unacceptable. I cannot speak on who the doctor himself is and his care, but if they have nurses with such horrid bedside manner or care for their patients, I don’t think that bodes well for the rest of the care from the facility. I still cannot believe I was treated in such a manner from someone in this field. Especially surrounding the death of my baby. I do not leave negative reviews lightly."
"Courtney Carlson is amazing! She delivered both of my sons and was so caring and supportive through everything. I can’t quite put into words how great she is at what she does. Her passion for her profession shows through the quality of care she provides. She goes above and beyond to provide the best care for her patients. I couldn’t be more grateful to have her as my midwife!"
"The Good - Dr. Weaver and Dr. Talken are amazing. Dr. Talken will make you feel heard with calm empathy, and never dismiss your concerns. The Bad - Even if you have been their long term patient and paid all your bills on time, they will send your overdue bill to collections without calling you to let you know. They will not provide much guidance for your pregnancy or childbirth. You have to come with your own list of questions by researching the internet, in order to get any guidance. At the delivery hospital, they will pressure you to get induced if you have been there for more than several hours and are not getting dilated. The practice seems good and knowledgeable on the surface, but the providers are actually very "safe" and hands off in their approach on treating you. They will not use any kind of natural intervention to problem solve, or monitor the position of the baby during pregnancy to make sure it is optimal, no cord around the neck, etc. It comes off as if the lesser they know, the safer they are from any liability. Given all the things that can go wrong during childbirth, this approach leads to a higher chance of high intervention or C section birth (both of which have an unbelievably difficult recovery lasting months)."
"I relocated to the area and was very nervous about leaving my 10+ year provider. My first appointment with Dr. Stacey Johnson completely put me at ease and I feel like I’ve established a new, long-term relationship. The front desk professionals were very helpful, positive, and friendly. I also thought they handled so many competing priorities effectively. Dr. Johnson was efficient, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. She made me feel very comfortable and confident in the care I was receiving. I would not hesitate to recommend her to a friend or family member looking for a new OBGYN."
"Dr. Weaver is an incredible person and OBGYN! She saw me through my first pregnancy and I never once felt like she didn't have time to answer my questions. She truly cares about her patients. She even took the time outside of work to research a theory I had and gave a call back to discuss what she found. Now I'm having my second child and she's been just as wonderful this time around. I've also seen Dr. Greaves (he delivered my oldest child), and Dr. Nelson & they've both been very attentive and wonderful as well."
