"This place is awful. I have been trying to get a different Dr for weeks. I have been having reactions to my medication and the Dr I was seeing had been refusing to do anything about it. I do not recommend this place to ANYBODY for a psychiatrist. The case management has been good though."
"My daughter went to detox and they pretty much convinced her to leave instead of trying to get her help she walked all the way from kc ks until she ended up in the emergency room in roeland Park"
"Poor treatment of clients by workers through unprofessional and harmful behaviors including gaslighting, ignoring, dismissing, covering up wrong done by them, ghosting/sudden abandonment without explanation or communicating with them through mutual dignity and respect. NOT a safe place for trauma victims/survivors and Autistic adults!"
"I went here desperate for help from an autistic meltdown. I checked myself out after 9 days spent there, in a manic emotional state because I wanted to finish the whole visit but already the usual stay in probably 4 days— as it’s voluntary and really JUST A PLACE FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE TO GET FOOD. My friend drove me back a day later and told them about another autistic meltdown I had through text message. They called the POLICE (we all know a Social Worker would be more competent in this situation). About 20 police showed up and took me away from my son, caused a scene. I was calm and said I would go, but they wrote a police report on my hospital stay and gave it to my abusive ex (father of child). I WAS ABSOLUTELY TRIGGERED INTO PSYCHOSIS BY THE CHOICES OF RSI. The police would not tell me what was going on, only that I talked about death. They touched me and forced me to go into their building, without answering any questions. I told them I AM AUTISTIC. I was already experiencing Psychosis and they did a Covid test where a large chunk of my brain came out on the swab, and continued to fall out during the stay. They tied me to the chair where I was having an anxiety attack and was asking for help because I thought I was in jail. I suppose my ex told them of the only thing I did wrong was feeding my kid “only tater tot’s” and they gave me only tater tots for my dinner. I haven’t seen my son in 3 months because I tried to get help from RSI. Their food is really good at RSI, but I needed help that they couldn’t provide though they have the resources to provide. This is my absolute truth and the worst experience of my life."
"Today my fiance and I went to his first mental health appointment here the social worker he spoke to was wonderful as well as the front desk staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful understanding and the wait was very little time . Glad we came and he got the service he needs! Highly recommend if you or someone you know needs treatment. Thank you!"
