Reviews of University Health Primary Care Lakewood Pavilion
"Doctor Phillips is an extremely amazing doctor & an even better man. He understood I deal with anxiety & made me feel comfortable and heard & helped me get on a path to feeling better. Also, I was standing at the entrance of the hospital about to leave when he stopped and asked if I was alright when he didn’t have to, & out of the kindness of his heart walked back in to the clinic to help get me a cab. Consider yourself lucky if he’s you’re doctor 10/10"
"DR.FOOTE IN PRIMARY CARE IS AWESOME ❣️ FIRST DR IN A LING TIME I TRULY LIKE AND TRUST AT THIS POINT"
"I realize this provider has some limitations; they treat low-income patients and have a very high volume of patients. But I think that, with what they're working with, they do an excellent job. I've had some health issues since Feb 2022, and from the ER, to hospitalization, to follow up from Family Medicine, to referral to OB/GYN, this hospital staff has been nothing but kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Things don't always work out the way we want them to, but that's not UHLC's fault -- that's medicine. I appreciate the work that the doctors, nurses, techs, and other staff do so that I can be treated for my illness."
"If you're in search of a primary care physician who is an impersonal, young, Caucasian female, lacking any level of empathy, who completely fails to listen to their patient, or believe what the patient knows about their own body through years of experience, or who will try to force tests and inoculations on you that you adamantly insist you do not want (after having done a considerable amount of your own research), and who refuse to respect your opinions about your own health care, you are sure to find her here!!! This sums up my experience after having seen 4 different doctors here in 6 months. Furthermore, not a single health problem that I've been seen for here has been treated, because there isn't any follow through. The referrals either never call to schedule, like they're supposed to, or they say they're not accepting new patients. Hands down, this is the worst health care I've ever received in my life. I mean, seriously, who wants a doctor that doesn't listen to them, and could obviously care less about them??? They should all be trained by the patient advocate, who was wonderful to me, on how to listen and be empathetic. Those are 2 vital characterstics necessary to make a good doctor, yet they seem to be foreign concepts to all 4 of the doctors I've seen here."
"Dr. Cil did shoulder surgery on me on Friday. The on-call number for concerns about after surgery was for the podiatry clinician. (Pretty sure the podiatry department isn’t who i want to speak with about my shoulder). It’s Tuesday and I’ve called 4 times because the surgical instructions say to call if there is numbness or swelling and I have both. I basically can’t feel my thumb or index finger on my surgical side. Also my hand and fingers are swollen. No one has called back and it’s impossible to get through to the nurse practitioner since she has no voicemail. Not impressed with follow-up care at this orthopedic clinic/surgery center."
