"Waited an HOUR after showing up on time for a 2:30pm appointment. It is now 3:32pm and there is still someone ahead of us. Overbooked."
"I have been with Mid America Poly Clinic for several years. My Dr listens to me, doesn't put me down, and has tons of compassion. Some visits I go in crying, other visits cranky cause I hurt, and she's always understanding. Yes, the new guidelines make u feel like a criminal, but that's not the clinics fault. They are following State guidelines. I highly recommend this clinic and can't thank Dr. Chandra enough for the treatment plan I'm under."
"I have never in my life been treated so horribly by a medical team. The unprofessionalism and rude behavior was so disappointing. They don't call you back about test results and when you call them to inquire about your test results they yell at you and tell you that they didn't even get to eat lunch they were so busy seeing other patients and when they get around to your results they will let you know. The nurse who works for the physician that I saw was so rude and disrespectful made me not want to share any of my personal information. After she finished yelling at me and telling me how she didn't get to eat lunch and would call me when they got around to looking at my results, she hung up the phone by slamming it down. I am so upset by the way I was treated by this office I have reported it to my doctor who referred me and we are going to find another pain clinic for me to be seen at. I hope no one ever has to go through what I have had to endure with this clinic. Luckily this was my first and last visit with this office. If this is how they treat all patients, they won't be in business very long because no one deserves to be treated like this. I am astounded at how they treated me. I have never in my life ever been treated this way, nor have I ever witnessed anyone to be treated this way. Horrible clinic."
"I have found that almost all doctors will not prescribe pain medication at all, even when it's clearly necessary. One more way the government is damaging the care to honest people who truly need help with pain. I one put three stars because I actually haven't been there yet. I have an appointment next Monday. It's quite a drive for me so I am wondering if I will have to go there every month to get my prescription. Also, somewhat embarrassing to ask, but do you take a urine test at every visit? Just want to make sure I have enough fluids when I go in. Thanks to anyone who can answer any of these. I will update after I see the doctor. PLEASE forgive me for the 3 star rating. I thought you had to put a star rating to leave a comment. I was referred to you by my doctor at Pain Source Solutions and I trust him. I will do whatever is required as I understand the reasons why these things are necessary. Forgive me if I offended you. It wasn't my intention."
"I wanted to take the time to not only review the clinic but to thank the entire staff. Mid America Polyclinic is my first experience with a pain management doctor, so I was very nervous before my first appointment. I first called the clinic and spoke to Shari and was immediatly impressed. Unfortunatly my primary care physician of nearly a decade closed her office and relocated to California. I was having major difficulty finding a new PCP to take over my pain management and eventually realized I probably needed to make an appoitment with an actual pain doctor. Shari was beyond amazing. She spent nearly 30 minutes on the phone with me and listened to every detail of my health situation. I was never rushed and Shari had a very special way of making me feel at ease. She was able to schedule me an appoitment for about a month out (seemed like a long time but I have been told that was actually a really good turn around)! The office staff member who assisted me was very warm and welcoming (I apologize bc her name has escaped me but she had blonde hair.) I also appreciated that the office was very clean and well lit. I then saw a very nice PA (or RN, not sure of official title). Her name was Kris (sp?) and she proceeded to go over a "pain contract" with me. This was a new process for me but Kris was very thorough in explaining all the details in a professional and friendly manner. I then was able to see the pain management doctor. The doctor I was scheduled to see was Sri Nalamachu. I honestly could not have been more impressed. Dr. Nalamachu took time to listen to my needs/situation and made me feel at ease. Like his PA, he had the ability to be knowledgable and professional; but also had a very gracious and friendly manner. He offered new insights into my condition and even got me started on a new medication (that is working better than the previous one). I then scheduled my follow-up appointment (that lady was also nice) and headed home. I have had that follow-up and it went just as smooth. Once again, thank you to the entire staff. I would highly recommend Mid America PolyClinic to any fellow first time pain management patients! Jackie B."
