"I really didn’t want to post this, but I feel it needs to be said. Back in 2012, I was 14 or 15 years old and Dr. Monahan came highly recommended for my medial patella femoral ligament reconstruction surgery. He was working at Liberty Orthopedics back then in Liberty, MO. According to the doctor, it went really well and I was healing at a good pace. Well. I disagree. I knew something was wrong from the moment I got out of surgery. I was told I would be getting a leg immobilization brace. I did not. I got an ace bandage. Then, I was in PT for almost TWO years trying to regain my strength and range of motion back in my knee. The first two weeks after surgery I was in a wheelchair (which the doctor did not provide or help us find) because my quad muscle wouldn’t work so I couldn’t get my leg off the ground to use the crutches. My knee has been “tight” ever since surgery and I haven’t had full range of motion since. Well. This summer I worked at a summer camp for kids. One day it started popping, no injury to it. It kept getting worse so I went to the orthopedic walk in clinic and they took X-rays. They found the back of my patella has ware on it (most likely from being over tightened) and they found METAL SHARDS in my knee that they can only attribute to the first surgery. If you have my knee cut open and you can see these metal shards on an X-Ray, you probably could have seen them during the initial surgery too. I have had multiple MRIs since then and always wondered why my knee hurt so bad. I was told no metal was used during the surgery so I didn’t think much of it. I now have to have a second knee surgery to clear out scar tissue and metal shards and a possible lateral release procedure. I wish I could say I wasn’t mad, but I am. I KNEW something was wrong. I just don’t want this to happen to somebody else."

"I'm doing very well, I'm very satisfied and I must say that the service was excellent. I have never even waited 2 minutes to see Dr George. Never had to wait For lab work, got right in.. EKG got right in...MRI had to wait 2 and a 1/2 hours they forgot I was there. I got right in. EKG got right in MRI had to wait 2 and a 1/2 hours they forgot I was there... Or rather they didn't see my paperwork...I was the 1st one to check in. Doctor George and his team were excellent. The nurses were great, while prepping for surgery. Overall very satisfied!!"

"After reading all the reviews, I was very nervous about my appointment. After my appointment yesterday my nerves have been put to rest. When I arrived, the staff was very pleasant. I arrived early and they got me right in. The nurse was friendly and very informative. Dr George was very kind. He listened to me, explained what was going on, went over test results and was very thorough. He was very clear to what the plan of action needed to be. I am sorry to those who have not had the best of experiences, but mine was as good as any appointments I have every had. I do not usually give reviews, but I thought as kind as everyone was, they deserved a good one."
