"I won’t go back. I’ve never worn contacts (glasses for 30 years) but wanted some so I could go snorkeling. I paid and 5 prescriptions later I still couldn’t see out of them. In addition, I received little to no instruction on how to get them in and out. My daughter helped me figure that out. So, I went on vacation with no contacts and I’m out time and money. I question if they know what they are doing."
"My father is 90 years old and was struggling to read with his glasses. He was frustrated because he loved reading. He went to three doctors who handed his glasses back to him, saying "Sorry nothing more we can do, just use a magnifying glass." He got the best result at Bennett Eyecare! They were able to improve his glasses to read better. After his appointment, he later had really itchy eyes and I called to make appointment, they took him the same day! I know it's not always possible to schedule so soon, but they tried hard to make a way for him. Different locations make this possible. Thank you for making my life and my dad's life more meaningful. It is hard to find peace of mind when one has an aging parent."
"Just wanted some questions answered but was rude and hung up. Okay, so I have been doing research on places to get a new pair of glasses. I have been calling around to check on prices. I know that there is a difference between retail stores and private eye doctor's but you are going to get better quality for the price. I talked to the person at the front desk for the information about what is the average price for eye exam, frames, and lenses. I also ask when is the soonest opening, so I can get an idea of how many days in advance I would need to book an appointment. Well everything was going good got the information but she didn't know what lenses would cost. That is understandable so she transferred me to the ophthalmologist (I believe). I started to ask what the lenses would cost. Asking what the average prices are or what she would recommend. She didn't understand or didn't want to talk to me, so, I started to get specific asking for plastic scratch resistance single vision. She then gave me a price but she also talked about polycarbonate lenses so I asked about those, she gave me a price. I started to talk about me doing research and calling other places and I was going to thank her for answering my questions and giving me information that I needed, but, once I said I called other places she told me "Well, that is what you are going to get for calling other places." and hung up. I'm sorry but I understand that you have appointments and I just needed some questions answered. She didn't need to be rude about it. You have lost my business, I will go elsewhere. For the people like me wanting the information Eye exam = $185 (base) + 20% discount (first-time customer) = $138 Frames = $125 - $300 Lenses = polycatbonate $80 (base) + $50 (anti scratch) = $120 plastic $106 Rx is provided Appointment Required 2 day in advance rude and hung up before I was finished"
"the first pair of glasses i ordered the lenses didn't fit properly in the frame and kept popping out. the glasses themselves unexpectedly broke after about 3 months. they no longer had the frame i liked so i had to settle for the next best because it was a warranty fix. the new frames were too tight on my head and again, the lenses were not fitting quite right and this time it seemed my prescription wasn't right because i couldn't see distance as well. they offered to adjust them but the adjustment was uneven and still fit too tightly on my head. when i said i wasn't happy they said there was nothing other than another adjustment they could do. since the frames and new, they should have a policy to replace them if they don't fit correctly vs forcing you to wear something that hurts. terrible service. can't recommend them."
"I've been going to Bennett Eyecare Midwest in Platte City for approximately 8 years. In that time, they have always provided first rate service and eye care. The doctor has always taken the time to explain what they are looking at and seeing within my eyes. When I need glasses, they have a great selection of frames and are able to get me lenses that meet my lifestyle. I highly recommend them for anyone considering them."
