"The only way to get an appointment is to call their appointment line at 0700. If you call at 0702 there will be 8-10 callers ahead of you. They only do same day appointments. The pharmacy failed to provide urgent request medication for three days due to "system issues." I highly recommend seeking care through other avenues and telling your provider that you use a different pharmacy. Fort Leavenworth continues to provide the worst garrison services despite being a small post with a scheduled population."
"Severe lack of any efficiency and customer service. You call one line to activate new prescriptions and then forced while you’re on with a live person to then be transferred to a different line to activate refills. It’s probably just the click of a button for the person you’re talking to. Then you get to the refill line and you have to listen to 10 minutes worth of pre-recorded prompts to get to the point where you can refill your meds. There is no online portal to be able to get this done efficiently."
"I was sent to the community to have surgery. I waited two months to be seen. On arrival I was told that the ultra sound was not sent and they were going to call to try to get it. Now Im sitting in the hall exam room waiting to see a surgeon with no information. Pretty ridiculous."
"Went in to get a hearing exam. Was told by the NCO at the counter that they do walk-ins but were closed already so to come back tomorrow. Show up the next day (45min til closing and an empty waiting room) and am told they do not accept walk-ins (every hearing facility on every base I’ve been in for 12 years takes hearing tests for walk ins). Ask if they can make an exception because there isn’t anyone being seen and it’s an hour til closing. They say no because they see their last walk in at 1500. I ask if I can make an appointment for that afternoon because there isn’t anyone being seen. I am told no because the appointments for that day are taken already. I ask if there are any appointments coming in today for hearing that way if no one shows up I can take their slot. Tell me that they cannot see when the appointments are but only that they are filled (excuse me?) So I ask if they cab squeeze me in because a hearing test doesn’t take very long at all. “Sorry we don’t take anyone past 1500.” “But you guys don’t close for an another 45 minutes. A hearing test doesn’t take long at all.” “It depends.” “Depends on what?” “Depends on how good your hearing is” Two very unprofessional and snarky Soldier. I wait outside because I had a feeling they were just trying to get me to leave on a Friday. No one ever shows up. Hearing booth operator is just sitting around chatting. So bottom line: -they take walk ins in the afternoon but not if you show up an hour prior to closing -all appointment slots are full but they can’t tell you what time they are -they take their last hearing test at 1500 but close at 1600 -they can’t tell you how long a hearing test takes -they are rude and sassy sounding"
"Recently my husband was diagnosed as a diabetic due to needing to have most of his pancreas removed. The staff have been very kind and helpful getting us the tools and medication he needs. Even so far as to suggesting and changing the glucose testing device and strips he needs. Yes there a bit of a wait BUT it's worth the wait when they care for the patient"
