"Mercy South is a very good hospital. I’ve had to go there several times and have no problems going back. That being said, No hospital is perfect."

"Just waited 7 hours to get two blood draws. A chest x-ray. Also had my blood pressure checked twice. Never saw a doctor. Asked the nurse at the desk she said it was normal lately. Brought up 14 hour waits. While shuffling people in that came after me. If you want to be seen at this emergency room I would say to call an ambulance. I was surrounded by sick people for way to long with no proficiency and more people just dodging responsibility. I would say it is heavily mismanaged at this time. Go somewhere else."

"Don’t come here for medical treatment! I have been in the emergency room with my mother for 21 hours. They seem to be extremely short staffed. The room is not clean. The waiting room in the ER is just packed with people. You have to walk through all the smokers outside on their “smoke free campus” to get inside the ER waiting room."

"I had to constantly stay on them and most people were not welcoming to me. This is only my opinion from my experience. The gift shop workers was very kind."

"While the details of my visit (or any visit to the the ER) are not great, I wanted to give a good review because on our way there I was frightened by the very negative reviews. That was not my experience at all. I was immediately sent to a triage room, then wheeled to an ER room. The entire staff from intake, transportation, to nurses, doctors and techs were absolutely kind and compassionate. There was a time that I sat maybe too long waiting for transport back to my room, but because they were busy and taking long, the ultrasound tech took me back herself. I felt nothing but cared for by everyone who we encountered. I wasn’t just a number; I was a patient who was treated as a person. I’m happy we chose Mercy."
