Reviews of Metro Lighting
"I worked with Laura Rose to select a replacement ceiling fan for my home's family room. The fan I replaced was 25 years old and not a color that it is "style" today. She helped me pick out several selections that would match with the existing furniture and cabinets. The room has a 12-foot ceiling. The volumne of air movement was very important to me. I was certain that I wanted a new fan with a light as that is what I was replacing, however my eye was repeatly drawn to a fan that did not have a light. This is the fan that I untimately bought. Ms Rose never pushed me to buy a certain fan nor did she direct me to the most expensive ceiling fans. She presented me with a list of ceiling fans that met my specifications. In addition, she checked for price-matching and coupons before bring the list to me - what a welcoming surprise. The fan I purchased is the same size as the fan it replaced, however, the volumne of air moved greatly exceeds it. The fan has wooden blades which look so nice. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I checked other stores before coming to Metro Lighting. I live in a rural part of the state and most of the choices are stores like Lowes, Menards and Home Depot. None of those stores had ceiling fans that would match my existing furniture and light fixtures. I did order a fan online from Hunter. The picture online showed a dark wood color. I called three times to verify information about the fan and each time asked about the color and was told "I would get the color that I saw online". Unfortunately is was not the case as the blades were a fake looking grey whitewashed color. In addition, the blades only had the fake woodgrain on one side and a unflattering medium grey on the other side. In addition, the blades were either plastic or composite and thick. In no way did the blades look like real wood. This was so disappointing as several of the other ceiling fans in my house are Hunter brand. I am so glad I looking at ceiling fans in person. I highly recommend working with Laura Rose on your ceiling fan selections. I never felt pressured to puchase a fan. In fact, while I was deciding, she helped at least one other customer get pricing on ceiling fans, each time giving them the pricing with price matching and coupon reductions (the other customers and I chatted about trying to decide, that's how I know what they were given). I will certainly choose Metro Lighting when I need to replace other fans."
"I am updating some outlets and wanted to add a few new outlets that gave me the option to charge my family's phones and tablets. The first outlet was perfect for a charging station in the kitchen. I went back and got another Legrand 15 watt outlet with one USB and one C charging plug. This gives us options along with 2 110 plugs. The metro lighting representatives were courteous and professional. It was nice that the outlets were on-site and I could take them with me."
"I went into metro lighting to get some specific bulbs- I was greeted quickly and with a smile, I was shown the bulbs and explained the color temperature I was looking for and got exactly what I needed! The whole process was great and the staff is super nice. I could spend hours looking at all the beautiful stuff in here!"
"Worked with Erika on lighting for our new build. She is outstanding- knowledgable, professional, thorough, pleasant, patient and has a great feel for steering you in the right direction. 100% satisfaction."
"Metro has a truly amazing showroom! There so many different kinds of lights, fans, furniture pieces and decor to make your home look amazing!"
