"Staff and acute care were great on the intensive care first floor and general care on the second floor. Moises was great with transfers and provides a good bedside manner. Pam (patient relations) was responsive to calls and is helpful with more info. Tyler (case manager) was great with finding rehab centers for transfer. All other nurses and therapists were pretty busy due to patient ratio but still tried to help where they could. Ct scans on site but can't take beds into exam room because doorway was narrow. Critical patients had to be transferred to fit into the room. Visiting hours is 8am to 8pm. Shift change is 7am to 7pm. Nurses helped bring in outside food if the cafeteria was closed. Parking was good and right off the highway. On the other hand, the building needs some work. Certain rooms will be pretty cold when there's no sunlight. Needed cleaning with dirty floors and piled trash cans. Staff really overcame these issues."
"Do not send your loved ones here. My mom left the original hospital and came here and ended up going back to the hospital she was sent from. From the lack of nurses on staff, to one of the doctors having bad bed side manors, to the lack of pt and ot they promised it was a horrible experience. My mom was a zombie on all the meds they put her on and went downhill here. She is back at the original hospital with possible pneumonia and other complications. She is on a ventilator and they supposedly were trying to get her off it but never succeeded. She told us when she got back to the original hospital that she never wants to go back to kindred and feels safe at the original hospital. I trusted them with my mom and they disappointed us. The nursing staff tries their best but they are short staffed. The people who run this place are all about the money and don't care about their patients. I did my research before taking her here and thought it was the best place for her needs but they aren't. I would never want anyone I know going there and won't ever recommend."
"I have never been treated with the upmost care here at Kindred. The staff has been extremely supportive and helpful. My Family would love to recommend this Facility to anyone in need. God has truly blessed my Family with this opportunity to be a part of Kindred."
"Husband has quadriplegia and is currently staying at Kindred Hospital Northland. The care he is receiving is outstanding. The staff is absolutely wonderful, treating us like loved family members, and always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for. The doctors, nursing staff, and respiratory therapists are some of the best medical professionals we have met within the Kansas City area. We highly recommend Kindred Hospital Northland for your long term acute care needs. Five stars ☆☆☆☆☆"
"My mom came here for care after leaving icu. They discharged her after 2 days and I haven't been able to contact anyone get a hold of any nurses, or case manager. My mom was not ready to be discharged.. She has a broken arm untreated, among many other things that they did not address. She was screaming when she called me which is a sure sign she didn't get any of her anxiety medicine or mental health medicine. They said that she was caught downstairs trying to leave by the emergency room door, how is a patient running off like that with no one noticing?? Can't get any answers from anyone! Do not, do not go here or send people you love here. Waste of time and improperly discharged."
