This 33.5-acre park offers a variety of amenities for visitors to enjoy, including a playground with swings, a half court basketball court, three multi-use sports fields, a 275' baseball field, and a .4 mile walking trail. There are also two shelters available for use, with Shelter 1 having a capacity of 48 people and Shelter 2 having a capacity of 16 people. Both shelters do not have electricity, but they do have tables for picnicking.
In addition, there is a medium shelter, handicap parking, permanent restrooms during the season, portable restrooms in the winter, and a water fountain for visitors' convenience. The park also has a second smaller shelter and playground that can be accessed from the walking trail or from 49th and Monticello. Whether you're looking to play sports, have a picnic, or go for a leisurely walk, Garrett Park has something for everyone to enjoy."

"We have baseball practice here twice a week. It is a beautiful and convenient park. When my son's at practice my youngest son ad I hop over to the playground. They a baseball, soccer and a track to walk around. Sometimes we go into the trees and look at the creek. The park also has water fountains and a clean bathroom with running water."
