"Response to owner: You will never be able to reason with someone who simply does not tell the truth. Future buyers need to be aware that “29 years of business” means nothing if your service begins to decline into what we experienced. I hope you guys will treat the next clients in a more professional manner. My husband and I debated on writing a review but after the experience we had, we thought we would share. We ordered a table and 10 chairs back in September. We had been looking everywhere for something we loved and really wanted it in time for Thanksgiving. We were told it would be here in plenty of time. Fast forward to a week or two before Thanksgiving and the owner told us that it was all back ordered and we wouldn’t get it until the first week of December. We were bummed and expressed our disappointment to which he then told us he never told us we would have it by Thanksgiving, which wasn’t true. So we decide to wait it out. December rolls around and again, table and chairs are back ordered and now we are being told we will have them in time for Christmas. We looked over our invoice and per the stores contract it stated that if any of our order was back ordered we could have a refund in store credit. So we call the owner and expressed our disappointment in how long we have waited and wanted to cancel the table, put what we already paid towards the chairs and look elsewhere for a table. The owner was extremely rude to my husband. Telling him that we were cheating him out of money. Proceeded to hang up on my husband and not return our calls. We had to drive up to the store in order to get someone to talk to us. We were told at that point that our chairs had been ordered and would be completed before Christmas. Christmas came with no update. We had to call and were told they were in store and would be done in a week. We called a week later and after several attempts to get through to someone they finally told us they were painted black but we would need to pay an additional $50 per chair for distressing. When we first ordered the table and chairs we had gone over in detail with the owner the distressing we would like for the chairs and were never once told this would be an up charge. He gave us an invoice for what the total was and that included distressing. The owner was clearly just upset that we had chosen to cancel the table and was trying to get more money out of us. He fails to understand that we never wanted to cancel the table in the first place, but after waiting for far too long we had no choice but to look elsewhere. Overall the way we were treated for being frustrated that you didn’t keep your word with us was ridiculous. You never once went over your policy with us and we never signed anything with you. We abided by what your fine print said on the invoice and put the down payment we had paid for the table towards the chairs, so we don’t appreciate being called impatient because of your stores lack of updates and logistical issues. We understand things happen, but had you respected us in the process we may have a better taste in our mouth for your work. Overall after receiving the chairs, they were of good quality and we thought the price was very reasonable. We just wish we would have been treated in a more kind and professional manner."
