"Fantastic place to stay ! Excellent customer service. With fishing dock, boat slips, swimming pool, cabins, r v spots a person can't ask for more. I highly recommend Eagles Landing Resort !!"
"We stayed at Eagle's Landing from Aug 2nd to the 7th with our 3 grandchildren and had an absolutely GREAT time. Well worth the $45 a night for a full hookup camp site. We had a great site across the street from the amazing pool. Shower house and laundry house were clean and recently updated nicely. The fishing kayak/canoe/fishing pond was a short walk from our camp site and the kayaks were the highlight of all the activities for the kids. They were masters when we left. Did not get any bites though when fishing in the pond. We fished at the edge of the lake (also a short walk) in a little cove by the boat slips and several small fish were caught, got one catfish that was a keeper and one grandson got a huge drum. He was SO EXCITED! We did not keep the drum. We also took a hike on the walking path and kids loved it. It was very hot the first few days and then it rained the 3rd morning (kids learned dominos) and the remaining time was beautiful weather. The resort is fairly flat which made all the walking we did easy. The staff was amazing and responsive. When we arrived, we were escorted to our site, then we noticed a tree branch was rubbing our roof and also the electrical kept tripping. We called the office and someone was at our site within 5 minutes and both issues were fixed. One day while at the fishing/kayaking pond, we reported to them that the covered porch area was infested with wasps. It was REALLY bad, they were there immediately trying to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, they did not have a paddle boat as advertised, a bit of a bummer, but we still had a GREAT time. I would suggest either getting it replaced or removing it from the website advertisements. The little store was handy, as we were without a car as we traveled in a motorhome, but it had very slim pickings for inventory. I would think that they could really have quite the business stocking more items. Would have loved to have bought the grandkids t-shirts from Eagles Landing but the pickings were slim, no children sizes to speak of. They got t-shirts elsewhere. I would also suggest shade at the pool, there is virtually no shade. A pavilion at the pool would be amazing. Or umbrellas for the tables. The miniature golf could use a little upgrading, it was pretty simplistic. The website states they have a game room, I never saw a game room. And the map on the website states they have a fitness room, which does not exist. I would correct my advertising both online and in printed materials. It is my understanding that they are under new ownership and improvements continue to be made. These items I have mentioned are suggestions, not complaints. Staff was our continuously keeping the grounds, building, pool mowed, trimmed, trash picked up and everything clean. The staff was friendly and always spoke. The company truck could use a new muffler, it was pretty loud. Overall, I'd rate it a 5+++++ and I can't wait until we can go back. I would have stayed for weeks if I could have."
"Good campground but our space backed up to the highway. Super noisy. And our traveling camper’s site was a huge puddle. They wouldn’t change the site and the adjoining sites which were dry were vacant the entirety of our trip. In addition, we were charged $20 because we checked in 57 minutes early. We will not be back."
"Made reservation, I tested positive for coved about 30 hours before check in, called to cancel reservation as soon as I tested positive. They charged me for my entire stay. Said I needed to give 48 hour notice. Asked to speak with manager and never got a call back, even after calling several times. I understand about needing to charge for canceled reservation, normal is a days stay. But when you have no control of a situation and do the right thing, they want to charge for the entire stay. I will never ever stay here, I am telling all my friends not to stay here. They only care about making money and not the true meaning of camping, rude staff. I work a lot and try to camp when I can, I have only canceled camping trip 1 time in 10 years. Just read their rules and reviews closely and you can see how they feel about camping and making money, don’t try to check in a few minutes early, get out as soon as your trip is ending, can’t do this can’t do that. I have never had an issue like this before and I have traveled and camped all along the east coast."
