Comfort Inn Grain Valley - Kansas City

"I stayed one night. Checked in at the front desk. There were too many people in that area, but the desk clerk was polite. As people have said, the bed is too hard. The t.v. was so small for a supposed king suite. Which I paid for but didn't receive. The breakfast was a joke. The lock to protect people from coming in was broken. They had a lot of towels and wash clothes, which I really liked. Also, they are off the interstate but close enough to jump right back on."

"Well the rims were big and clean and well kept up. Everything went good. The lobby was good the service was good the staff was excellent. I only gave it a four because there still is no pool and no hot tub and no exercise room since 2020 and so the website needs to seriously be updated. Part of the reason we picked that place is because of those amenities. Great area for dogs to walk however that's another bonus"

"So the only 5 star I gave is location because it was convenient for where I needed to be the next day. Check-in took over 30 minutes. The person in front of us had to return twice while we were checking in because the key cards she was given were not working. The girl behind the counter did not seem to know what she was doing. She is not able to talk and type at the same time, and kept talking to explain herself, which really was just waisting more time. She did tell us that she was glad we found them because the rooms are great and have comfortable beds. After a night of sleeping on them, I determined, that was a lie. Not only are the beds way too hard, but the pillows are the size you would have for decoration on your couch. These were half pillows! The room looks like someone’s handyman husband had come in to spackle holes in the walls and paint. The carpet goes up the wall, and was falling off. The door frame in the bathroom is bare metal in places and rusty looking. The pool was closed due to something being broken, and the vending machine was out of order. Cleanliness was also not a top priority. I normally prefer to only leave reviews when I have good service somewhere, but there was too much wrong here not to leave a negative review."

"Enjoyed our stay. The bathroom had to be the cleanest one I’ve seen. The beds were comfy, service wax top notch, and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay again when we come back to Missouri."

"We stayed one night, 11/5/23. The staff was nice and the room was clean. The lobby had an odor of cheap purfume multiplied by 1000. As you enter it hits like a Mac truck. We checked out 3 hrs ago and can still smell it on our clothing. We don't have respiratory issues but this caused irritation in throat and nose. Another issue is the lighting in the bathroom, very dark There is also a motion sensor light in the room that turns on when you walk around.. waking the other guests when a night time visit to the bathroom is necessary. We will not return or recommend this location."
