"After years of requesting foam rollouts to help me stretch out I'm going to finally give up and purchase my own. I've been paying $109.00 for a family membership for years and you would think that they would be able to get a few but no. What pisses me off the most I think is that a majority of the men's lockers are locked up with only about 20 men in the gym and that the facilities rollers are probably locked up in there. I've tried to get to talk to a manager multiple times times but always get the same answer, he's not here. I wonder if Planet fitness has the rollers???"

"Participated/paid into in a fundraising event to get a new piece of equipment at the gym (belt squat). Successful event, very profitable, coordinated by Cody, who is a great asset to the gym. I’m being told by the manager there that there’s no room for a new machine and I’m wondering where all of that money went. There’s a gym two blocks away that has a belt squat. Myself and three others are considering changing gyms just for better equipment. Paying a premium for a gold/platinum level genesis location that refuses to add paid for equipment isn’t making sense to me at this time."

"Great staff! Great facility and great location! The convenience of sauna, steam room and protein/smoothie bar all in a great gym was such an easy decision. I’ve been a gym goer for years but actually feel like Genesis has motivated me to tap into a next level of fitness within myself."

"I’ve been a member at this gym for 3 years now. I have to say that it is objectively the best gym in lee’s summit. The equipment is amazing with lots of variety, lots of amenities to enjoy, cleanliness is taken into account, (I understand that’s a huge factor for some people) and the staff here are always friendly and treat their members like family. Sure, the membership prices are a little more expensive, but from what I’ve learned, you get what you pay for. No joke, the bad reviews are one, people who go into a gym with their expectations through the roof and find the smallest things to complain about and 2, people who sign on contracts they know they can’t pay for. Genesis from my experience with gyms has probably the most legit membership contracts out there in the health club industry. Month to month or 12 months. If you’re looking to get the biggest bang for your buck with a gym, this place is worth every penny for you to achieve your fitness goals."

"This gym has a great amount of equipment and machines. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. My biggest complaint is the overall cleanliness of the place. The amount of chewed gum on the ground at the entrance is disgusting. All of the machines have quite a bit of dust on them and it seems the supplies/sanitary items are never fully stocked. I’m really hoping this improves over time."
