Super 8 by Wyndham Independence Kansas City

"Aging property, shady location, no elevator. The staff do their best to keep the rooms clean and maintained. The hallways smell of weed, even though it's supposed to be a non smoking facility. Shady characters hanging in the parking lot in the evening. Will not stay here again!"

"The hotel is conveniently located near the interstate and close to many businesses and restaurants. Our room was adequate, clean with coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Breakfast was simple but sufficient for a quick bite with coffee before getting back on the road."

"Made a reservation a few days ahead; 2 adults, a cat, and a dog. Room was very clean, no smoke smell. Floors were porcelain tile, tub was old but clean with a clean rubber mat. The beds were soft and lumpy, perfect for sinking into; none of those brickhard boxes here! Breakfast was waffles, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, and juices. Very nice and our pets seemed to like it too! Heavy doors that were soundproof."

"Very bad experience, never had a issue with super 8 but it's stuck with us a little bit. Starting with roaches in our room, and fire hazard hair dryers that could get someone electrocuted, breakfast was horrible, broken microwave which they refused to replace, rude receptionist we wanted to check out early because it wasn't comfortable wasn't offered a refund or partial absolutely nothing. I normally don't write bad reviews but I recommend skipping this hotel, it's not a pleasant stay."

"My experience at this Super 8 was very appealing and satisfactory due to the great customer service executed by KC at the front desk, during the 6 days I lodged there. She is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Her partners at the front desk are Jackie and Jessica. They are also quality employees. Mr. Pulas (the owner) is maintaining an establishment that is at times difficult and there can always be improvement, but I personally was very happy with the rooms I stayed at. Everything worked and I slept soundly. The pool is well kept. The review could have been technically lower, but the interaction with KC enhanced the rating to the max. Hope they continue to be positive."
