"I wanted my hair trimmed and it ended up cut! I’m talking new straight length is now the equivalent to what my old curl length was with 4b curls. Do not recommend. I’ve spent a lot of time growing my hair and even though I was scheduled for a trim, she CUT it to all be the same length. It was HEARTBREAKING. I lost a lot of healthy hair that i wanted to keep and will take a while to regrow. Will not be coming back. $100+ dollars and I’m very unhappy! Looks like I’ll be starting the regrowth process all over again. Unwilling participant of big chop number 2 UPDATE: Now that I’ve had time to adjust to my shorter hair even though I’m still upset it’s gone there are some things that were done right that are worth acknowledging. Carlisha was friendly and knowledgeable. Final styling was cute and curls are more defined and still defined 3 weeks later. Hair is also a bit thicker. Because of this, updating from 1 to 3 stars"

"Carlisha is incredibly unprofessional. My mom referred me to her and is sorry that she did. I booked a faux locs appointment and have a very large undercut, so I only need locs on 40% or my head. When she texted me to confirm my appointment and send a picture of the style that I wanted, I asked if a discount would be possible since my service would take her less than half the time and less than half the cost of hair. She replied that the price would be as listed on the website + the cost of hair. I was not sure what this meant since a lot of meaning can get lost in a text. Would I get a discount on the cost of hair? I was open to paying full price if needed to support a Black business, so I politely replied, “Do you have time for a quick phone call? I want to make sure I understand your pricing.” She simply ignored me! Didn’t even respond! Next thing you know, I get a text from a bot saying my appointment has been canceled. Do not patronize this business. Expect to be treated rudely and for Carlisha to make wild claims as she does in her other negative online reviews: that your disappointing experience was your own fault and that you don’t respect her time."

"Carlisha is so wonderful and easy to work with! She listens to what you want/need and is also great at giving advice and input when you aren’t too sure what you want to do. She has been cutting and coloring my hair for a while and I am so thankful to have found her. She truly cares about her clients and the quality of work and time she puts into your service. Plus I have been comfortable with her since day one! I love going back just to catch up, but of course have my hair done too. :) I highly recommend using her for all your hair needs!"
