Reviews
"The only reason I’m giving this two stars instead of one is because the woman that checked us out at the counter was very friendly and easygoing. If it was just her there I would have been leaving a much more positive review. But I did not appreciate how we were treated by the male worker that created our sandwich around 5/5:15pm on 3-15-2024. I am a home health care worker, taking care of a client with both mental and physical handicaps/disabilities. My client wanted to come inside with me so they could order their sandwich just how they wanted. The male worker was friendly at first, but quickly started to get annoyed and impatient. It started once he asked us what toppings my client wanted on the sandwich. I guess my client didn’t speak fast enough for the employee, because this guy was rolling his eyes, puffing his breath, and muttering things to himself. I was sort of acting as a mediator to help my client decide what they wanted. After my client told the worker all the toppings they wanted, the worker then asked what sauce my client wanted. All my client had a chance to say was “um” before the worker quickly listed off all the sauces and then said “okay now what do you want” in a rushed/condescending tone. At this point I intervened and asked him to please be patient with my client because they were still making their decision. Then I heard him quietly say something to himself along the lines of “I don’t have all day but sure it’s not like I have anything better to do”. The thing that frustrates me the most about this is that I was actually really proud of my client for how clearly and concisely they spoke. Due to their disability, at times it takes them a while to get their thoughts out and say what they want to say when speaking to others, but placing this order was one of the best and quickest times I’ve heard them communicate their wants/needs. As we were walking out of subway though, my client said “I’m sorry Faith, I’m not very good at this…” This made me very sad because I could tell their confidence went down in that moment, after just doing such a good job with speaking. Just goes to show that a little bit of kindness and patience goes a long way, and ableism sucks. I understand everyone has off days, and I’ve had my fair share of having irritable days when I worked retail/other public jobs. But it’s still important to maintain professionalism in the workplace, ESPECIALLY when servicing a disabled person. Everyone has off days and I’m not trying to jeopardize anyone’s job or livelihood, but I felt this was an important review to make. Hopefully this will be seen and the male that was working can reflect a little bit and be better next time."
"I stand there for 10-15 minutes all while the employees just gave me looks. Didn’t ask if I was going to order or not. I feel like I’m invisible"
"Christine Catching & her male employee go aBove & beyond. I stopped by every day just to see her, and to give my same order, cookies like God do every day. It's such a wonderful group of employees that I met so far and they're actually remodeling. I believe so, yeah, but it's a great place and miss Christine is the sweetest lady. I've ever come across. I wouldn't choose any other Subway."
"I ordered lunch today and the customer service was lacking. The employee was rude and snappy with myself and the previous customer. When I looked at my receipt, I didn’t receive the correct amount of change. I’m gonna go on a limb and say that the employee is hazing a bad day. I’ll give it another try."
"I walked in and hear the employee talking very loudly and cursing, immediately she tells me she’s only taking online orders, there no sign nowhere that informs customers of this. Maybe I came on the “right day” wrong one for the employee. Very bad customer service"
