"All I did was call the store and it made me not even want to go in because I asked the gentleman if they had a certain kind of dog food and he had said he had to go check and hung up on me. And second of all I don't think he spoke much English"

"I mean it has groceries and stuff, but whatever you do do not buy their meat. Their meat department is a colossal petri dish and a health hazard. I walked in the other day and the dude (grey mid length haired, older) was working bare handed, literally coughing violently all over the raw ground beef. Saw him wipe his mouth and face in the prep area. There were multiple kinds of meat being worked on simultaneously in the same prep area on the same shelf (breaded chicken and beef), I have my food handlers and that is an absolute massive no no as that's cross contamination. I have bought their ground beef in the past and it went grey and pallid (rotten) the next day. They also clearly use some sort of dye to keep the beef looking red. Basically the only safe meat is stuff that is sealed before it gets to the store. The only chicken thats safe is the Smart Chicken, as it is the only chicken not frozen and re-thawed or handled by poorly trained workers b4 sale. Really disgusting, and warrants a safety inspection. Just order groceries from Walmart. Even with the delivery fee they have cheaper prices. Apple Market marks up ludicruosly compared to Walmart on the most basic goods, even such as rice, lentils, etc, and its getting to the point of unaffordability."

"I have to go to the store on foot my fiance works over nights so when she gets up by the time we walked up here hours have been changed and doesn't even bother to say so on the website and of course it's only posted really small in one spot on the very far end.... It's pathetic no bus system and nobody stays open past 10pm that's anywhere near my side of town."

"They don't have the best deals but location is great for that side of Independence. There are not many choices and they do have a great selection of items for its size. It is clean and organized. You can get in and out fast if you are only needing a few items. Convenience is the key to this grocery store."
