"Came in to do a western union transfer. Gray haired woman was very rude and wouldn't do it even when I signed into the app. She ignored me and started checking out the next customer. I called her a b***** and told her to learn how to do her job. I do not feel bad she earned the name and should look for a different job"

"If I could give zero stars I would. There's hardly every anyone that works there in the store. They're always outside smoking who knows what with the area homeless. I don't know if the white lady with red hair is high on meth every time I go in or what but this store is a hot mess. There's absolutely no management going on. Time to clear house and start over. Skip over this Dollar General at all costs. There's one on every corner in Independence. You'll find a better one elsewhere."

"Not my favorite Dollar General in Independence!!! In fact, it is almost the worst!!! The employees are always nice and friendly!!! That isn't the problem!!! The store smells like cat litter and dirty socks!!! Their merchandise is always in the aisles blocking a lot of the products and the aisles that you want to walk down!!! And their store is confusing!!! It's not organized like the other Dollar Generals!!! It's all catty wonky!!! I just really only go in there if I forgot something on my way to my sister's house!!! Otherwise I stick to the one closer to home!!! The one on Yuma!!!"

"This is the best store of the three located on 24 Highway. They're usually pretty well stocked, with only some exceptions. The employees are more than friendly. I've returned two items over a 3-year period, and the returns/exchanges were accepted cheerfully and with no hassle. I enjoy going there."
