"I’ve been coming here for years, and the quality has never dipped. It’s easily the best sushi place in the Kansas City metro, in my opinion. There are many other more hyped, upscale or fancy sushi restaurants…but this place is significantly better than all the others. No gimmicks, no frills - just really good food with good service. If you are visiting KC on limited time, come here for sushi and don’t second-guess it. Trust me on this one It’s almost always slammed, so I would recommend targeting non-prime hours unless you want to wait in line for a table. Parking can be a challenge but isn’t terrible. The space itself isn’t picturesque but its charm lies in the hustle and bustle of the staff, the gentle buzz of patrons who appreciate good sushi, and cleanliness. It is pretty cramped but don’t let that deter you - get in where you can, be it at their sushi bar or one of their tables…it’s well worth it. "I've only ordered for take-out. Best stuffed mushrooms I've had. And I also love their salad with miso dressing. Their sushi rolls are very good and tastes fresh. My boyfriend loves their hot & sour soup. I love their sushi lunch deal."
