"We've had fantastic food here in the past but today was just SAD. I ordered the 2 meat meal (turkey, sausage, red potato salad) and my wife had the pulled chicken sandwich. Her chicken was 4 large chunks of chicken that were as dry as the Sahara. Her potato salad might as well have been raw. My turkey and potato salad were good but the sausage was virtually flavorless and the portions given for $17 was pathetic. We weren't given forks, butter, or bbq sauce. The cornbread was cold and the bread pudding was so hard I couldn't bite in to it."
"I’ve been to many BBQ places in KC and got to experience this place while they catered a wedding. The food was amazing at the wedding. I wanted to try it again so I went there tonight. Well I was really disappointed. The person taking my order was frigid to say the least. And the system they used asked for a tip before I ever got my food! lol. I ordered burnt ends with Cole slaw. About 24 min after my food was ready. I was called to get it myself. Well the burnt ends were very good and did not have much flavor at all. Cole slaw was ok. The corn bread was ice cold as well. I don’t see a microwave nearby or I would have gladly taken advantage. The plate was not very presentable compared to their competitors in the area. Their BBQ sauce was very sweet with little flavor as well. The “Not So” Crazy Good Eats was well…not at all good."
"This is the most underrated BBQ restaurant in the Kansas City area. My husband and I have eaten here twice, but let me tell you - we’ve talked about it hundreds of times since randomly finding it on a Saturday afternoon in October. “Remember those meatballs?” I ask him nearly every day. “God they sound good,” he nearly always replies. But it’s not just their meatballs that leave our tastebuds crying out at night for more - it’s their fries, sauce, and their sandwiches. I know we have barely touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their menu, but I can only imagine the divine experiences that await us."
"Honestly one and done for me. For $42 I got small BBQ nacho, KC original sandwich and 2 meats brisket/ ribs and two ribs with fries. I asked for extra pickles and the guy literally gave me 2 slice per platter.I didn’t like none of their sauces. All their sauces was overly sweet to me. All the meats on our plates were less than warm. The meats were dry and some spots were still little chill. The best thing on your plate was the fries. It was hot and fresh. I’m disappointed because I came in with high hopes."
"Went to Crazy Good BBQ for lunch while we were at a softball tournament. It was just ok. I got the Certifiably Delicious plate. 2 meats, side, and corn bread for 15.95. I got the pulled chicken, turkey, and fries. Pulled chicken was tough and dry. The turkey was ok but not tender enough to be cut as thick as it was. The fries were really good, though. As the first picture shows, it is seriously overpriced for the portions of meat you get. My wife got the turkey sandwich with onion straws. The onion straws stole the show. They were phenomenal. All of the sauces were really good also. If not for the sides and the sauces, I would have rated less than 3 stars. In KC, if you are going to do BBQ, the meat needs to be on point and it just wasn't here. Especially for the prices. The restaurant was clean and neat, though."
