"Gringos is the best at what they do here in Joplin. I've have a long term relationship with their yummy food. It was my sister's HS job; then became my daughters HS job. Prices have risen considerably, though; good thing their Beef Quesadilla is big enough for 2 ppl."
"The best "mexican" food ever. I drive many states away to come to Gringo's I love the thin shells, the thin cheese, the sauce. Everything tastes soooo good."
"Ordered the shrimp burrito a few days ago and I really don't feel like it was worth the cost. It was small enough to hide in my hand and I wear a medium glove (so not big hands at all). I wouldn't mind going back, but I won't buy that again."
"First time ever trying and will definitely be my last unless they decide to make it right. I work 5 minutes away and decided to try them as I went to Taco Bell to order my usual Chipotle ranch 2 for $4 grilled chicken burritos. They said they had taken them off the menu. Decided to hop across to the newer Joplin location and try it out. Went in and ordered for the first time. Tried the super enchilada. It's literally a grease bucket. The actual enchilada is drowned in chili sauce. They must use like a small ice cream type scoop for the cheese. Taking a bite on each end was just a pile of half melted cheese. The excess cheap ingredients like tomatoes and lettuce is exactly what they bury it in to make it look bigger and better than it actually is. My bigger issue is how in the world does someplace use tostito looking chip cups to actually dump salsa into. 5 minutes back at work, salsa has caused those cups to get soggy as hell and now in the salsa! Was disappointed to not see salsa in CHEAP PLASTIC CUPS like any other establishment. Was definitely ruined in the chips and couldn't even begin to want to eat it. The little salsa I did try on a chip was less quality than the chi-chi's you can buy at a local grocery store. To spend $16.18 for what I got was definitely WAY OUTRAGEOUS. I don't see this place lasting long. On a good note, place looks really nice. Looks clean (is newer), lots of employees standing around doing nothing though. Looking like they were walking around filling up their drink cups then just doing whatever. Nice space though. Someplace will eventually take it over."
"Place was clean, staff was friendly and food was good! Only thing I didn’t like was the pricing! 2 meals and it was $30. Paying that I would rather go to a Mexican restaurant and have more than 4 tacos and 2 drinks. O and I suggest you use cash because they charge a fee to use your debit card!"
