"My daughter has not been to this dental office for over a year because they tried to rush us into starting palate spacing. This week we get a bill for over $400 with no itemization of insurance charges changing or anything else, just says balance forward. After reading the other reviews seems like it is mostly a money grab."
"If I could leave zero stars I would. My son has seen Dr. Thomas for a couple of years and recently it seems like she likes to do a lot of add on treatments that my insurance won’t cover so I’m constantly feeling like I’m being up charged. I don’t really care for the staff or Dr. Thomas. We will be going somewhere else from here on out."
"Took my son here a couple years ago for a consultation on ONE filling. By the time I left I was in tears because they said he needed 8 fillings and it needed to be done at Children's Mercy because he needed to be sedated. Oh and after insurance it would cost me well over $3000. I left and took him somewhere else and he only needed 2 cavities filled and they did it in office for about $200. This place is only out to get your cash. They outright lied to me about the work that needed to be done."
"My grandson loves going to the dentist. Dr. Thomas is kind and gentle with him when he was having a tooth fixed. He loves all the dinosaurs on the walls and gets excited when it is time for him to get his teeth cleaned."
"We scheduled a consultation with Pediatric Dental to evaluate treatment on our daughter. She needed an extraction and bonding work done as her tooth won’t come down. We got back in the area and their chair wouldn’t work. They wasted 15min trying to fix the chair instead of moving us. Then they laid my daughter down and said, “Now what are you here for?” Weeks before the appointment I gave them the referral from our orthodontist, as well as X-rays. Apparently they didn’t have any of the paperwork and instead of asking questions she just got confused and called for another girl. By this time my 9 year old was super nervous as I told her this was just a consultation. The other girl didn’t know what was happening. I explained everything to them. They just said, “We need the Dr.” They brought in Dr. Thomas. She did a “exam” on my daughter just to tell me she needed cavities filled. I explained to her the exact same thing. That’s not what we are here for. She referred us to a oral surgan to come in to do the work. Fine. We went out to the receptionist desk and they asked me for money for a exam. I told them I wasn’t there for a exam... I left with a bill and no referral to a oral surgan. I asked to speak to a manager and they said she was out. I took her name and left. I called to speak to billing a few days later. No answer. Left message. A girl called back and left me a voicemail that they had listened to the recorded line when I made the appointment and it was not discussed the appointment would be free so I needed to pay! I called back and again no answer. Left message. No one ever called back. Called back to speak to the manager. They said that was Miranda. Left her a message and 4 days later I got a call. Miranda was one of the most unpleasant unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. I explained to her I thought I was coming in for a consultation as I had a referral and all X-rays and just needed guidance on the next step. Miranda told me, “Her dentist don’t work for free!” She made sure I knew that pediatric dentist were higher levels than others as they have more schooling. She also stated that her dentist do not speak to customers as I requested. She said she is the highest title in the whole office and before she hung up on me after I requested to speak to someone else, she unprofessionalally kept saying, “have a good day!” Then hung up on me. When we went in the office was unreal packed. So busy. The office girls were VERY unpleasant as well. This one of the worst experiences in customer service I have ever had."
