"Here’s my story, ordered two wing dinners. Got home with food and the wings were so small, tasteless, and wasn’t fresh or any resemblance of being cooked within the hour. Gave wrong side dish I was very displeased with this place. Called and let them know, whoever answered said to get the side when I come in next time. Yeah, but no I’m not supporting this downward spiral of a business any longer."

"Haven’t been to this location in over 10 years. Decided to swing by for a bit of nostalgia. The place got a little bit of an update. There’s no longer a drive-thru so you have to go in. However, parking is odd - there’s the front parking and the side parking. The side parking is a pain getting in and out because it’s so cramped. Ordering was quick and easy and my food was ready at the next window after a few seconds. The customer service was decent but I don’t expect much from a grab and go kind of business… especially one in the downtown area. Food was great and tasted how I remembered it."

"It's a No No on the Go Chicken Go. I am truly not sure how this place has a 4.4, unless the people who eat here have absolutely never eaten fried chicken anywhere else in their entire lives. We are from out of town and wanted to try local. Ordered wings and thighs. As soon as I grabbed a thigh, I immediately said the chicken smelled funny. It's definitely not fresh and the texture taste like gas station chicken, except I've had way better chicken from a gas station, so I don't want to disrespect the good ones. Its texture is like chicken that has been kept under a heat lamp too long. The smell and the taste got worse with every bite and even more intense closer to the bone. The mashed potatoes were so thick and stiff and the "gravy" tasted like old grease and water. No seasoning no flavor no love went into this food. The only saving grace was the corn on the cob. Perfectly cooked, nice flavor."

"This is my go-to for fast food fried chicken. It’s way better than KFC, and it’s local. The restaurant on 7th is my usual spot, though I’ve been to the locations on Shawnee Drive and State Avenue as well. The food is everything I want from the fried chicken experience, from the chicken itself to the buttery rolls to the almost fluorescent gravy on the mashed potatoes. Service is prompt and courteous. I’ve been here often enough that I’ve caught the place on an off day now and then, so I’ve ended up with some incorrect orders and broken pieces. Once I even got one with some pinfeathers still attached. But those are isolated incidents rather than the typical experience. For quintessential KC chicken to go, look no further."
