"I found Red Door Woodfired Grill while staying nearby the Overland Park Convention Center for business. We didn't have a reservation for a two-top, but we were seated in a short time. The place is sizable, and they turned the tables over quickly. Found out that Mondays they have a killer burger special, which explains why it was so busy. Something like $5 burgers. So, if it's Monday, maybe reserve a seat for your party. We didn't get the special, but kind of wish I did. The place smelled like real fire wood. And I don't feel like it clung to me after we left. Our server was very friendly and the food came out really quickly. The brisket egg rolls were good! Between the two of us, I was pretty full on these by the time my main meal, fish and chips, came. The serving sizes were generous, and the food was tasty - fries were crispy, fish wasn't overly breaded, but the coleslaw, although seemingly made in house, was bland - mostly just plain cabbage. One thing I should have asked for was malt vinegar, but I'd totally order this again. The beer selection is decent too! They even have a beer with their name on it. Didn't try it, but I'd assume it was not brewed at this place. One thing I didn't really care about was all of the TVs. We sat at a booth and it took me some time to realize people weren't staring at me, but Rather watching Monday Night Football airing 6 inches over my head. Overall, I was impressee. If you're in the area and need a good meal, come here!"

"Dude, this is our favorite American food restaurant of all time. Seriously, it's not your average joint. The menu is familiar and reliable while still being interesting and inventive. We don't live in KC, but there may come a day when we take a road trip just for these burgers and salads. Oh, and the service felt like a VIP experience."
